These guys are usually in groups. With a bola it's an easy tame, when tamed it is a early killing machine

Can wildcard PLEASE make the alpha raptors in ark evolved not go at the speed of light? Like actually though. Me and my lvl 204 kapro were exploring in a PvP server and since it’s a server a bunch of alphas spawn everywhere. Because not enough people kill them so they live on. And in far too inland and an alpha raptors appears out of nowhere and starts killing me. I jumped as hard as I could to get to water but o ran out of stamina and we both died.

Fun fact: alpha creatures can't harvest corpses to heal themselves or be damaged by wild animals, so only tames can kill alphas.

You would think that you could hide near a brontos legs when you are being chased by an alpha raptor or carno, but this is a bad idea since you will automatically take stomping damage once the bronto gets mad at the alpha raptor or carno, and the alpha raptor or carno will continue to chase you since it has no reason to go after the bronto since wild brontos cant damage alphas.

People really are writing tips about running from alpha raptors when you can get killed in 3 bites or less if youre not riding a mount and they can outrun any land creature. That's funny cause any mount thats not smaller than a carno can kill an alpha raptor, including trikes.

Raptors are like hired killers you hire them by feeding them and they kill things for you

Don’t be ashamed in owning a couple as a level 100 player. I own two - and just by themselves, they are killing machines. Also great for exploring and fast land transportation!!!

Steps to tame the "bob killer"( raptor) are:-

Take bolas

Take a knockout weapon

Bola the raptor

Knock out the raptor

Feed it meat

Raptor is tamed!

You can also aggro the raptor on any herbivore( weak ones like parasaur, turtle or dodo) and wait for the raptor to kill it. Then do the above given steps. The raptor will be tamed much more easily as its health is decreased by fighting the herbivore.

Word of advice,tame a pack of 5+ (you’ll thank me later)

They should be able to latch onto brontos and stuff that would be helpful

Watch out for aberrant raptors! I ran into them multiple times... They jump onto you and trap you. They killed me so much times 😭

Easily the best way to kill them is to just get a pike and hit their sides. (Unless, of course, you have a gun…)

Get a high level herb then attack

5he first time I found this guy, I ran into a therizino and the raptor hit 85 and they fought to the death, the raptor fell asleep and I timed it.

Don't park it in the boat to tame it

Taking these are easy just make two wooden pillars and 2 ladders available in early game raptors can’t break wood so lead one or a pack kill the low levels and use tranq or slingshot if u don’t have those just bola them and hit them with a bat. (Tipp: if you don’t have meat go to beach and kill do so lystros or even carbos mine with a pickaxe) maybe you can tame three ? Then put the meat in the inventory and skadoosh.

Best way to tame a raptor in my opinion!

There are easy steps, but some preparations must be made. Have around five bolas, as you might miss the first throws. I like to kill stegosaurus or sarcos for prime meat to speed up taming. Bring narcotics as well, depending on the level you might need them.

1) Find your raptor. If you’re just starting out, I recommend attempting to tame a lower level.

2) Aggro said raptor. It’s better to do this on your feet so you can bola it easier.

3) Bola the raptor and knock it out. You can do this with your fists, a wooden bat, or tranq arrows.

4) Place the prime meat (or normal meat) and narcotics in the inventory of the raptor. It should tame up and be ready to go!

Watch out for any dangerous predators nearby, like other raptors or tickle chickens! Have fun with your new pal.

Whenever you're exploring a forest with a lot of trees, have some bolas ready. They will come and get you

Find a weak one and hit it until it’s unconscious and the get a lot of raw or cooked meat and feed it
