Playing w my noob friend on split screen ps4 and we were looking for a iggy at the edge of the swamp and we got jumped by a panicking raptor. Didn’t attack but we where scared silly and ran like a iggy. Found some dillos, tamed them, then the same raptor came and jumped me. I bolad it and was so excited to tame cus I never have. But my Dillo killed it 😐 yup so no raptor for me 😑

How to tame a raptor

1: Either trap or bola it (you can skip this if you want)

2: Knock it out, preferably using a slingshot or tranqs

3: Feed it meat, prime, or mutton (PC)

4: Enjoy your new raptor and equip a saddle on it to ride it

Don’t be scared to explore with these guys and see what dinos are around you, the raptor could outrun any threats unless in water

This is how I tamed my first raptor:

1:I prepared 3 parasaur kibbles and 30 meat

2:I started the pursuit hunt raptor to localise them.

3:I searched a good and a high rock

4:I went back to base and prepared 33 tranq arrows

5:I went where there’s raptor and I went on that high rock

6:I waited t’ill a raptor comes and gets stuck on the rock

7:I head/body shot the raptor until it was unconscious

8:I fed it some meat and I lost my kibble…

9:after 2mins of waiting it tamed up!

10:I bought it to base away from a baryonyx.

I also lost my trike on the way he’s named Tokiwor.

If your a newbie and in need of body guards, these bad boys come in handy especially when you need protection from collecting resources from out

They are so fast. Do not approche when you are a beginner.

Get bola I say three so you don’t miss 15 raw meat and then if you know ones nearby knock something out so it gets distracted by it the the bola at it and don’t be scared,don’t flinch, and don’t miss that gives time for the rapter and if he pounces on you your screwed if you did snare it with a bola then beat it up in the back with a club because it can still attack you after it’s knocked out toss it some meat and a little bit of narcotics

Go die raptor 1 like = one dead raptor

Rapters whill attack your house or wall to get it to brake and get to you or your house

They can’t fight your mount. I killed like, 1M raptors with my Baryonyx.

If you, if your new to the game, think that raptors are super dangerous and powerful, then your wrong. I myself was one, and yet all you need to do is bola them and knock them out with preferably tranq arrows. Stuff it up with any meat, and this pet is useful for defense!

Ok, raptors are just EVIL. It killed me and I was just about to kill my first raptor on my own! But it HAD to kill me, ROAR! So, I’m going to try to tame and IF IT DOESN'T WORK, THEN I will kill them all.

For a player whose just starting out, these are a very dangerous creature to encounter. However, a handful of spears is all you need to protect yourself, and quick reflexes. The biggest advantage the raptor has is their speed, so if you're in an area where they're common, keep alert, because once one pounces you, you're basically dead.

A pack of lvl 1 raptors can deal more damage than a rex, these things are scary, make sure you don’t get pinned down by one of them. Hit markers go mad

Handy Tip: If you get pinned down, spam that jump button like you're try to a open a god of war chest. You'll be up in no time. Run to a bronto or a trike right after!

If you want to tame a raptor try to bola it before it jumps on you they are super fast and barely take fall damage,A level 10 raptor can take out a titanboa level 15

Quit calling them velociraptors they are utahraptors trust me I saw it on the wiki and it said this: the utahraptor or simply raptor is one of the creatures in ark survival evolved.

You can see them first and they won't attack until they see you. Use a bola if you want to immobilize it. If not, get a lot of dilos ealry on (I still have a huge pack on every island separated by water that have about 5-10 lol). I hoped this helped if you wanted to hunt some raptors.

It's easy if you want to kill it just use a bola and a spear. If you want to tame it however, do a max of two at a time (in the south I find packs of two near the cave of the south) Use a bola at it's max range. Let them come (if you don't want to die upgrade hp to about 200-300) and bola one. Do this to the other. Now use any meat (I always use normal meat , but any works). I've used this and have a pack of 10.
