It is very hard to tame raptors stand up on a rock

Alpha raptors are way too powerful this needs to be changed

Raptors now get a pack bonus so tame at least 5 and you'll get a great pack bonus.

As of the latest update raptors are a greater predator than Bill Cosby in the playground. They can dismount you from any Dino’s they would normally agro including argents and griffins. They don’t seem to poe a threat on therizinosaurs, wyverns or megatheriums.

Worth mentioning that they often travel in packs and like to attack from behind. If you're a low level player taming your first raptor, make sure his buddies aren't busy sneaking up on you.

Sup gaz, If your one of those player Like me lvl 50, and has 40/40 tames and a therizino, bring it with you. The therizino destroys everything you want especially when defeating a alpha raptor, just remember your therizino (recommended) should be a powerful lvl 40. that way the alpha raptor or other packs of raptors is killed.

But if you are lv 40 or less with no guns do not mess with alpha raptors

3: two franks to the head

3: feed tons of meat . About 12.

So I don’t have a raptor yet I only have a level 9 cobenaymus and 3 deceased dodos anyway if you want to try and tame these things go ahead and get killed they will chase you all the way into the ocean but you will be very lucky if you even make it 10 feet it literally pounces on you there is dust every where and it shows dust and a raptor on your player and if you get pounced on your done fore one time I went up the mountains to find a T. rex to run from (I get killed for fun sometimes)and I was getting chased by a saber tooth then I was getting chased by a allosaurus and then a pack of raptors came out of nowhere at the tip of the mountain and then a saber tooth came out of nowhere and I ran from both the saber and the raptors and and tried to get to my base but the raptor jumped from behind and it pounced and the saber and the raptor played tug of war with me and I died and when I came back to get my stuff a allosaurus ate me the end

Can fit through door frames on mobile

It was night was distracted by a lystrosaurus (I think that’s how you spell it) looked into the forest beside saw one running to me…

I stood no chance

To jump on something on mobile, wile riding the raptor swipe down next to the creature u want to pin. You don’t hive to be facing the creature, just close enough to do base attack. Then SPAM attack

This isn't really a tip but is there any way to get unpinned on mobile? (Other than dying)

I out ran one on an iggy an it was a lvl 68

I would reccomend using bear traps for theese and if you dont have metal use bolas too bring both if affordable, bring some meat, and craft a saddle, the way i tamed was with my pteranodon, i was flying above an island where i saw 2 and i set up 4 bear traps on the floor in case of a pack and lured them to the traps i chose one, shot him down with narcotic arrows in a crossbow, the other ones i shot with my pistol and then gave the unconcious one some meat and did not need narcotics, i am now planning to find a pachy and ankylo and explore the island even more, overall, raptors are speedy, strong and very mobile, they can jump high and everything, a great start dino, would recommend getting one!

Alpha Raptors are extremely vulnerable to knockback and can be repeatedly knocked out of range before they have a chance to hit. Rexes can easily maul Alpha Raptors at even mediocre levels and with a primitive saddle (plus Alpha Raptors do not aggro onto Rexes making travel safe if you just want to avoid it)

My raptor rouge killed an Alfa raptor she had about 1000 heath and about 1000 damage hope this helps someone

Playing w my noob friend on split screen ps4 and we were looking for a iggy at the edge of the swamp and we got jumped by a panicking raptor. Didn’t attack but we where scared silly and ran like a iggy. Found some dillos, tamed them, then the same raptor came and jumped me. I bolad it and was so excited to tame cus I never have. But my Dillo killed it 😐 yup so no raptor for me 😑

How to tame a raptor

1: Either trap or bola it (you can skip this if you want)

2: Knock it out, preferably using a slingshot or tranqs

3: Feed it meat, prime, or mutton (PC)

4: Enjoy your new raptor and equip a saddle on it to ride it
