ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion

Tips & Strategies

If you knock out something that would have a ridiculous tame time without some prime and you don't have a quetz, a raptor trained with speed, damage, and HP can take down low level Brontos, stegos, and sarcos with relative ease. Their fast speed allows you to rush and and collect 1 or 2 prime and then quickly return to your tame. Having one person stay with the tame to watch the unconscious bar would be advised in this situation.

YOOOO what is up guys QWERTY here just saying these things can pounce on some creatures like moschops as far as I know. I might tast out the pounce a bit more. Also, on mobile, you need to swipe down on the left side of the screen to initiate pounce.
If you watch the ARK: The Animated Series trailer youβll get an exclusive cosmetic.
I tamed about 20 of them and killed a bronto in like two seconds.
Handy tip: they canβt pin you down if youβre in water. Like so more people can see.
When tamed, a raptor is a very fast and strong mount but they don't have very much carry weight. Level up weight, speed, and damage.
Raptors are essentially better Dilos. Whe lacking the poisonous blinding spit of a Dilo, they have a much better DPS due to their speed. In groups of three or more they benefit from a pack boost, and in groups of at least four I notice they tend to take on bigger threats on the Ark (notably Sarcos and Kapros). Plus their pounce ability is not to be overlooked.
In short, tame Dilos for the early game, but Raptors as you move into mid game.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk. Up so newbies can see :)
Donβt listen to that goofy ahh lvl 20 uncle who said that there isnβt pack buff on mobile, yes there is itβs just not on raptors or compys the ones I know that have pack buff on mobile itβs allosaurus and dire wolves

Just for people to know this is a Utahraptor not a velociraptor. A velociraptor is about the size of a turkey.
Utility Roles for Raptor:
1. Long range Scout: Raptors, due to their speed and pack buff, make great scouts if you can get more than 2. The only creature in the early-game that outclasses it in scouting is the Ptera, which can fly so has a distinct advantage (level Health and Movement Speed).
2. Light Cavalry Brigade: PvP servers only. Raptors have a very weird hitbox. By my investigations it seems that they can have either a big hitbox or a small hitbox. Regardless, a pack of these can be used to soften up the regular defenses of a base on PvP while your tankier tames soak up the turrets. Obviously combined with armor from saddles they are a force to be reckoned with (level Health and Melee).
3. Storage? Yep, the Raptor can make a very good storage box for meat, since most carnivores give meat a longer spoil time. But I like to use the Raptor for collecting spoiled meat to make narcotics (level weight if you want...meat doesn't weigh that much lol).
4. Attack Dogs. A pack of Raptors is vicious. I'm sure we all have stories of how we first encountered these things and were torn to shreds by them in the early game. If you can harness that power for yourself, you are a force to be reckoned with because of their high DPS! (level Melee Damage and a little Health).
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like my tip, please up to let me know! My next tip will be for the Parasaur
So,I had 4 raptors.I bred them and I ended up with 8 killing machines. All you need is 2 raptors (boy and girl) to make a pack.these are great meat collectors.β¬οΈ if raptors are useful.(fast,strong,etc.)
