A raptor is a very useful Dino on the ark once level 15 and you have the saddle you will want a slingshot and a home that is 2 walls high. Find a way to get on top of the home and than shoot down it is a sure thing to knock it out you may want 60 or so rocks in case you miss a lot. After it is knocked out get 50 narcotics give or take and starve it. Depending on the meat your useing regular meat requires 60 good to be drained prime requires 70 and kibble requires 80 once your raptors food is drained enough you should put your food in,and make sure you have all the meat you need and a few extra. Congratulations you have your self a raptor, one of the most useful early game Dino's!!
1 bring bolas. You will need atleast 5 or to be more safe 10. Then just bola it before that go on the back of a pteranadon or moth and look for the one you want to tame then kill the other ones bola the high level one.
2 narcotics and tranq arrows. Raptors don't need much narcs or tranqs to tame but bring extra if there's another one you want to tame.
3 FOOD. I would bring simple kibble or just raw meat they'll both work just fine. Put the FOOD in its inventory and the last step-
4 wait. You won't have to wait a long time but bring narcs and a early yet strong tame like a moschops, trike, and if it's high level a Para protect it and when it wakes up BAM you have a raptor! Up if this guide helps down if it did not! :)
Step 2: throw the bola at the raptor (it might run at you, so do it quick)
Step 3: knock it out with tranq arrows (bring 10+ arrows)
Step 4: once the raptor is knocked out you can feed it raw meat, raw fish meat or raw prime meat (if the meat is cooked it’s even better) prime meat is the best meat you can feed it. Up this if it was useful.
The raptor, fast, deadly, commonish, it's easy to knock out yet harder to maintain it, you gotta feed it about a stack of meat (raw) each day and it will last or spoil, but it's more than worth it, tips: wild; use Bola then use tranqs or your fists, tamed; one stack meat per day will last, but nothing wrong getting more!, if you change dino add per level in settings on the host/local in advanced, you can make it like 500 hp add and it'll be almost tougher than a giga, if you do 33006 hp 45330 Stam 45000 food 50000 weight 300 speed 680 dmg you will be able to fight a giga with that thing. Good luck taming though! They hunt in pairs like 2-5, if you find a lone one it's most likely alpha as they come in 1's, and sometimes a pack has one alpha even, so good luck! Hope you get that op raptor! Up if it was helpful!
