Best way to combat these guys is if you have a bola and torch. Bola stops them from moving a torch burns them. If you don’t have a bola a torch can still do some good by itself until you get a bow and arrow or a tame that can fight them easy aka a triceratops or carb or another raptor if you manage to tame one. Remember raptors are pack creatures so….. if you see one there are always more in the area

These guys have ZERO CHILL.They will attack anything and everything,even if they are losing health.I once saw a raptor battle a Diplo,and when it got knocked back,it NSTANTLY targeted me.If you don’t want a deathwish,do not under any circumstances,get in the vision of these guys.A bow is most effective as it’s the type of thing that can bust someone.

For taming,use Prime or Raw Meat.It’ll take at least 6 tranq arrows or 21 slingshots to knock it unconscious.I also recommend using a bola to immobilize it and get on a high terrain where it can’t reach you.Also use narcoberries if you need to.

How to tame Raptor.

1) Make a bola

2) Now find a Raptor and bola raptor(if you're a beginner you can climb on a high area for safety)

3) Use bow with tranq arrow(headshots are more effective),and you need only 2 arrows if the Raptors health is under 300.

4) When it's unconscious put raw meat, raw prime meat, raw mutton, simple kibble etc on it's inventory.(as a beginner use raw meat)

5) Wait until taming(don't live the unconscious Raptor alone, so other dinos like dilophosaurus will kill the Raptor)

And when the taming become successful the Raptor is yours. It takes only 10 to 15 minutes to tame a Raptor. When I was only only on level 19 I tamed a Raptor. And Raptors are very good for hunting Parasaur, Sarco etc. They are also good for your defence.

Once a time I went to jungle for collecting dossiers and my lvl 7 Raptor saved my life from 4 or 5 Sarcos I also assisted my Raptor using bow and arrow and from that time I never killed Raptors. (I hope so that this tip was helpful for you)

It’s so easy to tame and the only things you have to do is to throw a bola when it’s running at you give it a number of raw meat wait and there you have a raptor!

I have 15 of them and they are beasts!

I tame these dinos so easily If u wanna tame one follow the steps 1.find and bola 2. Knock it out with trank arrows of club 3. Put meat or kibble or prime meat in It’s inventory craft a saddle and get an army 150 or 100 or 1000 or 999999

One time near the swamp, i saw a pack of raptors. There were 9 raptors in that pack. That's all i have to say.

It's their availability that makes them good tames. They're found all over the place, have poor torpor tolerance, and are quick tames. You can quickly and easily build a huge legion of these guys to take on virtually anything. My pack of around 10-12 once shred a wild rex in seconds. Its corpse didn't even get to hit the ground. They're expendable but fast and strong, a perfect footsoldier.

You can bole the raptor and then shoot it with anything that causes torture and feed it raw meat or prime raw meat works perfectly fine but prime meat is better

How to tame a raptor with kibble

Honestly it's pretty easy to tame this thing.

Bow & tranq arrows

Find a raptor.

When you see it check if there is any hight ground near or not.

If there is high ground near the raptor go there and use the tranq arrows.

DO NOT accidentally fall or something. These things are very dangerous

I tamed a raptor by that method.

1. Craft bola, bow (it would be very helpful if you already had one)/wooden club, tranq arrows (if using bow)

2. Kill some stuff and get about 30 meat

3. Find a raptor (no pack or you’ll end up getting eaten)

4. Go sort of far away, but close enough to get its attention

5. While it’s running at you, throw bola

6. Go behind it (so it can’t claw you in the front) and hit it with club or shoot with tranq arrows (more efficient)

7. Put meat in inventory and hunt nearest weak animals/dinos in case meat runs out

Note: check inventory every some time

8. Wait

9. Name your raptor

10. Hunt and enjoy while it lasts

Note: if you get very attached, don’t let it by a therzinosaur

I hope this was helpful. If you put down, like my other ones, then you are rude. I hope that those who are scared of these beasts (frankly, you should be, but therzinosaurs and rexes and carnos are scarier) become less scared of them and start making them useful (but sometimes they collect too much meat!).

These creatures are loyal and will fight to the last breath. we have tamed many and they have fought valiantly and with honor against our enemy’s. They provide fast mobile protection.

WARNING: Although amazing (and I should know, trying to make a pack of 5) they can, if caught off guard or separated, can and WILL be killed.. I’m talking about piranhas and other raptors (learnt it the hard way RIP).. Remember to watch for mega piranhas when in deep water, they can make quick work of low level tamed raptors...

Try inbreeding the raptors you get more colours and have good chances at twins or triplets

Be extremely careful, you are likely to die from something else

These things will be your torturers in the early game, as they have a pounce ability that can knock you off your mount or pin you to the ground. However, they are suceptible to Bolas. For this reason, always keep Bolas in your hotbar. Alternitively, you can just level your Movement Speed to 112%, where you can just barely outrun it by sprinting.

To tame, just Bola and use a Slingshot or Tranq Arrows to knock out. Feed it meat.

Raptors are good early meat hunters, but they don't have much use otherwise.

Keep your distance, and shoot with tranq arrows 2-5 times. Give it a stack of meant and maybe a narc and you will be good. I have one and you should make a saddle! They are fast! Bye
