What are tips for raptor? Tips and strategies for raptor in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you are trying to get away have bolas if not you can lose it it water it swims slower than you
When pinned by a raptor, jump. Press the button to jump as fast as you can as many times aa you can, and yoy will get up.
You know those orange'y cloud emitting Raptors? Yeah, don't approach, it tore down all 5 of my best raptors then I was next (you can guess pretty well what happened next, still not over losing my precious raptor T-T)
Can someone write a tip on how to tame an alpha raptor easier in ark ascended.they glow red!
Get a crossbow and get a few tranq arrows, bola it,shoot it In the head, get kibble and raw meat and voila! U got a raptor
Once I was taming raptors when I saw an alpha raptor. I thought “these things can’t be any worse than a bronto “ so I get out my shotgun and shoot at it .
I think you can guess what happened. IT DESTROYED ME!!!! Lesson?
DONT MESS WITH ALPHA RAPTORS!!!
IN MOBILE THEY CAN FIT THROUGH DOOR FRAMES
So basically, I'm new to Ark and I Caught a level 4 raptor. I named it Echo and i usually ride him when hunting for meat. Then I learned that they are actually great tames when gathering meat and running away but make sure to upgrade it's health and stamina so that he can endure attacks long enough to run away. Make sure to protect it well especially if it's low level. I hope this helps and take care.
If you want a quick level up, make a wooden cage (it's one thing) and lead an alpha towards it. Stand behind it and let it walk in, it won't be able to escape. Just close the door, and slingshot it until dead. Only, you need to level up your stamina and speed if you want to make it to the cage. Sounds kinda hard, but it's really easy, even if your a new player.
The best early to mid game tame. Once you get just one, your hide and meat problems are made much less difficult. A high level with a pack of weaker raptors are enough to take down most regular Dino’s and the occasional alpha without losses.
I recommend leveling to around 2k~ hp assuming use of saddles. Then maxing damage. Stamina shouldn’t be an issue for high levels and most mid levels.
Bolas are recommended, crossbow/bow is nice, but slingshot can also do the job. Just don’t expect to tame the entire pack with bolas and a slingshot.
As a travel mount they are ok. Trikes are generally better because of their great knock back and weight early on.
Typically you’ll see packs of 3-2 but you can see packs of 6-7 if unlucky.
Raptor taming guide
1. Craft bolas (there can be a pack, a lone raptor is rare)
2. Bola the raptor and use either a club or tranq arrows
3. Feed it any type of meat (idk about fish meat)
4. Wait for it to tame
Don't expect an easy ride,
If encountered, I will not hide
One pounce and you're down
Then my friends come around
And our numbers quickly turn the tide.
If you see one that looks like it's covered in hot cheeto dust, DO NOT APPROACH... You can't handle that spice.

Can now dismount you from your tame and pin you down to make them more annoying, thanks for the new update ark devs :)))
Watch out for the alpha Raptors they have 3000 health ….. found that out the hard way
Escape run as fast as you can invest level up points in your Stam and speed
If you are trying to find an alpha raptor to get exp, I found a bunch of them around the river between the hidden lake and the redwoods. If you want to kill them, an argy with a lot of melee dmg works really well.
