Tame a griffin first, make sure it has good stamina, then you can fly and shoot tranq arrows into quetz and tame solo. Easy peasy.

Its easy. Type in (admincheat enemyinvisible true) and u can tranq it and it wont even flinch

Solo tame since July 2017 patch: build a large taming pen, get close to a quetz with any flyer, eat a rare flower to get it aggro and bite it to your pen. Then just knock it out.

Tame Tapejara, mount FRONT seat, whistle attack target on Quetz, when close whistle pasive and shoot, whistle attack target when Quetz starts flying away

If you want to tame a quetzal make sure you have a Pterodactyl or a tapijara so you can fly or your mate can.ive tamed 5 quetzals using an argy and I was with my mate so it's a lot easier to have a tapi.

all flyers are nerfed so the quetzal is now junk along with all other flyers. Thx ark can't wait to see what's next.

Make friends with the guys at red on and use a trap to knock it out then just drop it in their base then bam easy tame

Actually takes more tranq arrows then it saids here so bring like 150 more and a good old argy cause this guy is annoying when u don't see him but his right on top of u

If you already have a quetzal you can build a cage on its back if you have a platform it's super easy to do and you can keep it in the air good luck

Pick up your friend and have him/her shoot the quetz with tranqs. Be careful though, if you knock it out above water, it will drown

To prove yourself a true master of the ark tame a lvl 300 with cooked fish meat

The Tapajara is the best way to tame one if you don't already have a quetz also to keep up with the quetz you need around 200 movement speed on it

When breeding don't eat the egg and make sure you have air conditioners or dimetrodons around to keep it cool

Solo taming is easiest with a tapajara, who often get stuck on cliffs and are easy to tame. Get into the jara front seat, whistle attacking target on the Quetz with a spyglass, then whistle around with the "move here" command. Remember to whistle passive before getting to close the the Quetz. Just don't hit your jara with tranq darts or it will fall asleep and you will fall out of the saddle from very high off the ground.

Please update the ammo required. Wasted time on a 125 quetz. Despawned after i hit it as the app told me and i waited. Some BS right there!

Best way is to tame it with a trap on another quetzal BUT make sure once you knock it out, DONT MOVE or it will fall through the platform and fall who knows where.

Fuck this game ,. I wasted more than 100 darts and someone came to trap it with his quetzal and his friend hits the last two shots to take it from me .. suddenly it was pve not pvp ... i hope they patch this taming to be by % if i got more than 50 % hits it should be mine ...

When taming the quetzal, knock it out in an un hotile enviroment and surround in stone, this is to ensure your alpha tribe does not attack you on pvp servers, saving u hastle of re-taming animals.

Get the first shot in the head then go for bodyshots, prevents to much torpor depletion..
