What I do is build a trap with gates on land and a bit on water in a circle and search for wild dino's,

Put them in the circle and place the pyromane in the trap and just let it kill everything and it will be tamed easily like this.

You can pick them up with a wyvern and just throw them in the trap

They spawn just about anywhere around the Wyvern trench (and even in it) for a large radius. Seems to be wherever the map is black from lava damage. Found out they are extremely difficult to both tame and keep alive. The best method is to find a diplo near where you plan to tame the pyromain, kill all the animals by the diplo and then you kill or run from every enemy until you tame the pyromain, if more enemies respawn run since they have the best agility to the diplo after that then hit the diplo a couple times and flame absorb, repeat until diplo is dead (try to have it survive for a while by only hitting it a couple times between flame absorbing), by that time the pyromain has recovered most of its health that you took out and then just kill what won’t kill you.

If having difficulty in the area losing them to wild Dinos while taming. Pick them up with an argy. Bring them to another area or island with their body in the water to prevent them catching you on fire and fight all the easier Dinos. Makes the taming way less annoying and heavily lowers the death risk and having to find another high level one.

To tame Pyromanes on official you will run into the same issue I did, lack of dinos. I suggest kiting it to another island and using a boat with a small building ontop to kite and shoot from while it’s in the water. Basic pump shotgun works very well for the first phase. Once you do enough damage it will be rideable for a few seconds move to it and climb on its back to start the 2nd phase. Run around and attack Dino’s and absorb the flames to take the pyromane. Absorbing the flames also heals the pyromane so don’t be worried about fighting rexs and the other carnivores. Having someone scout ahead is very helpful. Once you get it to 100% do the flame boost and you have yourself a very hot kitty 😁 have fun and be safe.

Seems like alot think you HAVE TO kill. . You dont have to kill creatures, it is just based off how many times you use flame absorb NOT killing. You can get away with taming a 150 on 1x from one creature like the turtles

To tame your own Pyromane, kite it to a body of water so that it acquires the Doused debuff. Continue to attack it to bring its health down to below 50%. Once sufficiently weakened, you should be able to interact with it to mount it. Once mounted, attack nearby creatures to apply a burning effect, then use Flame Absorb (ctrl-secondary) to absorb the flame to progress the taming meter.

On Scorched Earth, Pyromane spawn in the wyvern trench, around which are no bodies of water. However, a wyvern is capable of carrying a Pyromane, so you'll need to pick up your target and drop it in the nearest body of water (for example, around the Red or Blue Obelisk) to tame them

Baby pyromanes get 50 food from cooked meat, 25 from raw. Opposite of most dinos.

For early game taming make sure there are actual Dino’s nearby or you will be sad with that 150. Also carbo or any Tank dino especially bronto will make taming unreal levels of easy just farm it and only hit flame absorb when max on it

Step 1 find a pyromane

Step 2 agro it t the nearest water

Step 3 have a boat ready to transport them to blue orb

Step 4 hit them until it roars

Step 5 kill everything at blue orb it'll be much easier an faster too

They also spawn in the Wyvern trench on Scorched Earth and can be taned when raining or potentially lead to the water in the trench cave.

You must extinquish in water and damage until pyromane roars. Only until then you can ride on the back and start taming. Kill dinos and collect fire from dinos that get burnt

Where are they on Ragnarock? I will put coordinates of them found when I figure it out. But does anyone know right now?

I suggest planning a route before trying to taming a pyromane. I cannot tell you how much of a headache I experienced because pyromane bucked me before I could find anything creatures to kill.

Also, if you get bucked, pyromanes cooldown is 5 minutes before you can mount it again.

Worst thing I can’t even tame because people said use “shotguns”. Shotguns kill it. Don’t bother using one. Couldn’t even get it to kill anything either

You can find pyromanes in the center.

You have to take them in the water until it does a roar animation.

Sadly you have to buy "Fantastic Tames" DLC to tame it

I went so long trying to find this thing and then i realized its part of an add on

They explode when they die leaving no body behind, even as babies. If you intend on doing some pyromane breeding and want to “Dispose” of any unwanted babies, I found the best way to do that is by tossing the babies into the ocean with cryosickness, where they will drown and explode
