There is a rideable purlovia. It’s called a thylacleo and it’s better than a purlovia. And if your wondering why you can’t carry one of these badgers, go try to pet a real one.

I was flying around on my argy in the snow area looking for obsidian, i saw a different looking rock and was about to fly down and check it out, but it transformed into a purlovia and almost got me off my argy. I don’t see many talking about this, but be aware!

Use a Quetzal to pick it up. Make sure you have two people on 2 different birds for a better chance at grabbing it. Its also good in case the first Quetz loses its rider and is being attacked. Drop into a room that it can't damage and tame away. You could also have someone carried by a Pteranodon but it isn't safe because it could hit the person being carried which will then fall to his/her death. Happy taming!

If you want to breed them, you may want to tame a few high level females as well as males. I mated mine once and it took 4 days IRL for it to be able to mate again.

These guys give a crap-ton of meat/hide when killed, depending on if you’re using a pick or hatchet. Also, not that difficult to spot when buried (on mobile at least), especially in the winter area. Just look for a brown bump that doesn’t match the surrounding area.

I bury them when taming a creature in a hostile area like the north side of the island and it’ll protect what I’m taming

Guys forget the wolves whose the same size as this, think about araneos that's even a little smaller and can still be ridden with good speed

They are very common and sneaky in the endgame cave, the TEK Cave. Don't get pounced!

You can bury these with your loot but be warned with a argy/wyvern, parasaur, and a rocket they can be killed and your loot can be taken

They work as great base defense

So, I went on a trip with my Pterodactyl Ani. We were in a multiple player server and I went to a purple drop in pvp. Well I saw some kapro’s some carno’s and some other crap and I was like ‘Pfft, I’ll just be quick’. I GO NEAR IT AND THIS THING LIKE PARALYZED ME AND ANI! All of those kapro’s came and ate her alive. That creature is a nightmare. I swear to always check BEFORE I go down. Cause somehow I didn’t get eaten by kapro’s or carno’s so we both flew away in utter silence. TERRIFIED ME AND I JUST SAT THERE LIKE, ‘Why am I not dead?’

I was mindin my own business tryna lure the giga from the snow biome and suddenly. A PURLOVIA AMBUSHED ME AND MY ARGY and both me and my argy died. That stupid purlovia

Not gonna lie these should be ridable. It would be cool if you could go underground with them and then scare your friends

you can find them in red woods use dire wolf to find them when they do a sniffing emote or use any dino you have that has lotls of hp to knock it out and distract it they appear as little random mud puddles or dent om the ground
