When using these to knockout a dino, you have to attack in roughly 5-8 second intervals. The scorpion applies torpor as a debuff which rises over time, so if you spam attack, you'll most likely kill your target with damage before the torpor gets high enough.

Upgrade melee for more torpity per hit

Taming these things at low level is no problem! A level 150 only takes 18 tranq arrows with a regular bow, and you can bola them, which helps hold them in place. Not to mention, they will eat the spoiled meat you don’t want, and can also be a powerful bodyguard for you until you get something stronger.

They are at beaches a lot also in the mountains I found some in the long grass there’s probably gonna be some but in the caves that’s where they are most common

I confirmed the myth 'Tame it inside the cave and creatures will not aggro on you while riding it'. It even works if you teleport it out of the cave to your base and come back through cave entry. I have to try normal scorpion in cave to get more information.

You can most definitely breed these on the new ark, not sure about the old one

Get a scorpion, use that scorpion to tame other scorpions. Get 5-8 scorpions,set to attack target, punch T-Rex,Easy T-Rex tame

I tamed my eerie male scorpion on ark mobile during the eerie server event inside the poison cave. It was the best choice I ever made as he is now guarding my hatchery.

On mobile I recommend the following for stats if you plan to use a scorpion as a guard.

Speed is good at 230%

Melee at about 500% (just to keep those nasty wild Dinos spawning in your base in line)

Health about 5k (scorpions can be very easily killed if they don’t have good health in them.)

Easy to find on carno island. Just pick one up with an argy and drop it into a taming pen and you're set

Also you can feed it spoiled meat cuz it will eat it too as it is A FRICKIN SCORPION,.,.

If you see a quetz you want and you have a tame that can carry this pulminoscorpius pick it up using something like an argentavis fly up and drop the scorpion on it and that’s how you tame a quetzal and put this scorpion to good use

U should be able to breed them

In Ark mobile they get angry even if you have bug repellant it is weird

You can also bola the scorpion

Easiest way to get a quetzal solo is to put one on aggressive and pick it up with an argentavis and chase down the quetz til it knocks out

Very effective as a battle mount/travelling companion. I mostly play on single player so an effective companion is vital. I tamed my Kopiona when she was level 32...she's at 62 now with 200% melee damage, over 800 health and quite a few surprising kills notched into her tail.

Some noteworthy accomplishments (without my assistance) are:

-1 Carno killed (lvl 30)

-1 Spino (lvls 3)

-1 pack of 4 Raptors (lvls 36, 24, 18, and 50)

-Survived a Rex attack (lvl 24) after I had died with minimal health loss.

Coupled with its torpor inducing attacks, it's also great as a taming mount.

Me: Passed out 4 20 minutes

Carry stimberries while taming in case you get hit so you don't get knocked out

In ark mobile these guys arent affected by the bug repellent
