There fast and will run after being hit so best option is to bola then tranq they have very low health so be carefull when knocking out low levels

arrow, they will fly away(if not low level) and then they will drop like a fly that just had its wing ripped off

Bola it ,put spikes around, and use dodo kibble for a high lvl tame and stat boost.

wait for it to land, then bola. a tranq to the face will knock out low levels. you might need narcotics

If you are trying to tame a pteranodon with a slingshot I suggest that you find a pteranodon that is at least level 100 and higher but if lower I suggest you put a little extra time into getting a tranq arrow bow

If u want to tame a pteranodon get a ton of narcotics

And meat if the pteranodon gets low on the unconscious bar just use the narcotics

If u want raw meat works fine for low levels

from my story, just normal bola it and hit it with a few tranq darts.

give it some narcoberries/narcotics and some meat and youve got yourself a flyer

When you goto tame one make sure you bring a.lot of narcotics I mean like 8 to 10 on them narcotics

A argentavis is easyer to tame sorry for the mid spell ments

Bring multiple kibble even if you’re on mobile and plan on using a soothing balm. one kibble may glitch out and not give any taming %. ran back and forth from my base 3 times with one kibble when one should have worked as an instant tame. after the third time he ate my kibble i resorted to feeding him meat for a worse tame.

I recommend to bola it and it takes about 3 Nars to tame use meat too

For starter lvls 10-20 find a lvl 9 or 10 get a bola and hit it with the bola and use a slingshot or a bat I used a bat but you can use anything just make sure you knock it out I use cooked meat and raw meat but prime and dodo kibble works best I just got a new and first pterodactyl tango and kick s but

Easy to tame if it is a low level (it levels up real quick)

Do not tame a Pteranodon early game Level 0-25 it might die because you need to get to level 38 to unlock the saddle unless you already have one or you have other uses for the Pteranodon.

If you make a raft and go underneath the bird you want it will land on the raft after a bit because it sees it as "land" then you Bola it then knock it out and the rest is history:)
