These guys are amazing when tamed. Low levels may not be able to carry you, so try waiting for it to level up and upgrade weight or drop items in your inventory. The barrel roll attack is super good. A low level pteranodon can kill a lot of dodos in a single barrel roll. Now I know why the devs made the saddle A high lvl bc its so good. A must tame and it is totally worth waiting for to get the saddle.

Remember if u level it up level up the stamina and health

If you want to have the blueprint for a pteranodon saddle at lvl 30 something here's an idea

1.Use a settings that if you break a thing it gives all the resources that needs to craft it

2. Gather a LOT of stones and hides

3. Craft 15-25 mortar and pestle

4. Use 2x XP buff

5. Place all of them around you and then break them and then re-craft it over and over again until the XP buff run out

I suggest using a bola to make sure it doesn’t fly away then knock it out with your hands or a bat once it’s knocked out feed it some prime mega or dodo kibble

The best way to tame it for me as a befginer is literally,

Wait till you can level up to craft a bola or this won’t work

First bola it

Second have 100 blue berrys feed it and 100 nacroberriers

Third keep 20 raw meat in if, it won’t eat berries unless it has meet in its inventory, but there blue berrys are more effective, and the nacrobaerries keep it alseep!

Some gie clames that there torper goes down fast umm NO they take what 1 tranq arrow so they got like 100 torper it goes down slow but it gots like no torper

It helped me to find out how to tame it and it told me what to use to tame it

Idk if a glitch but I only had cooked prime meat so gave it that and force fed it a couple. The meter didn't move so I gave up and left it there unconscious. Minutes later it flew back to me tamed :)

So me and my pteranodon was planning on traveling ark in a safer way so I said goodbye to my tames and went of. I rode my pteranodon to the mountains and these griffin looking things attacked us. But the thing is it didn’t say it was one. It started with an I but I forgot the rest. And at the bottom it said “does not respect you” it attacked us and my pteranodon attacked it. My pteranodon was only 1/4th of its health. They fought and the battle was on. My ptery died sadly. It was one of my fav tames other than the rest. I went back in rage and attacked it and shot it with arrows. But I then died to. I am planning on bringing back more pteranodons to avenge them. R.I.P Watermelon 😭

After you knock it out if you have powerful narcotics use them. Do not instantly feed it or you will be waiting a long long time. Use the narcotics to get its food down. Then feed it to tame it faster.

Put two prime meat in this and you tamed it but you have to do it immediately or it will wake up

They fly so you have to use a weapon like a crossbow or bow and arrow.

Bio toxins from jellyfish keep them unconscious so much longer than the narcotic

If you pick up these guys egg fallow these steps. : 1 Bola the mom and dad. 2 take the egg 3 run back to your base and put the egg is a storage box then mom and dad will leave u alone

I’ve gone through five total pterodactyl in a week. Im very happy I have a pelegornis.

These guys are ideal for crystal Wyvern taming, get 2 parachutes, a few water skins and a fair bit of food, set the pteranodon to follow, then wait for the Wyvern to land, dismount from the pteranodon, land on top of the Wyvern, and stand between the shoulder blades, feed crystals until tamed, use parachutes if you need to, and boom, you have a Wyvern at level 50!
