I'm very lost can some one explain what the 3minute interval means cuz if you don't put food in the taming effective mess will drop.

Use a bola to make the dino trapped for a few seconds so you can knock or tranc it out

What level do you need to be at to make a saddle for a pteranodon

For the guy who wants to know how to barrel roll I’m pretty sure it’s C on pc and clicking the right analog stick on console, it’s their 3rd attack and uses up a bunch of stamina but it’s powerful and good for getting out of ugly situations.

If you hit one while on an itchy they will still aggro and so will all others in the area (on mobile) so try to tame one thats alone and not around any, I know from personal experience

Idk how to get these things to just stay unconscious

So I have like five of these and I thought it be helpful for you to know that I tame them all on fish not me meat

Do not carry a player with it to tame something unless you have ff off or it will go unconscious and what you are taming may kill you and the bird depending on what you are taming

Some info-

Let's face it, they're the first flyer you tamed. High levels are the best to tame, as their stamina stat is trash and you can use the highest level of stamina you can get without leveling up. Might (or might not) be replaced by an Argy or Griffin (for fancy people).

Taming-

Super easy tames, a simple bola and tranq. Because of their tiny health pool I'd recommend tranq arrows and not a club or slingshot because, chances are, you'll just kill it before you knock it out. If you find a max level try to use kibble of raw prime, but normal meat works just as well. Even the lowest levels need a few narcotics, so bring some along no matter what level you're going after.

Saddling and stats-

Saddle requires fibre and hide (I think) as well as 75 keratin. Make sure to get the keratin before you can unlock the saddle. I know from personal experience that it sucks to unlock the saddle just to wait 10 in-game days for a turtle to spawn -_-

As for stats, they aren't too good. Low heath and stamina, although I personally only put points in stamina.

Even though you can’t level up flyers, I often get extra movement speed with the taming effectiveness levels.

I’m pretty sure the mace is 135% as that’s what I’ve got.

(Btw, it does make them faster and is able to be carried on through breeding.)

It can do a barrel roll. Go to settings. Controls. Either choose left or right multi-Tap then select reload/alt attack 2. With two fingers tap on either the left or right of the screen.

A lot of people say these are mainly early game fliers, but I do not agree. I bred and imprinted one and levelled up its hp and melee. Now it has 8K hp and does 1K damage per barrel roll. Found a lvl 100 giga but I wanted a better one, so I took out my pteranodon and barrel rolled into its tail repeatedly. After a few minutes it’s dead. It managed to bite me a grand total of 7 times while I hit it ~80 times. Since I had an ascendent saddle it only did ~3k damage (most of these came from bleed) with those 7 bites. Imo the pteranodon’s barrel makes it the strongest flying battle mount in the game by far.

This is actually so simple get 4 prime meat craft a bola capture it with the bola then punch it till it’s unconscious feed it soothing balm and then they should eat about 2 prime meat and there you are u have a flyer! Just did it
