It’s rare to get these guys to spawn but I think I know how to get one to spawn in.

There’s an island on the top left of the island map (it’s touching the snow area but it’s a small island) lots of rexes and stegos and Argys spawn in that same island, so I like to kill those guys (pteranodons secondary attack is my favorite way to kill them) and if you go in circles around that island by killing everything after ten minutes or so you will find a procoptodon , it works better if you’re on mobile single player

For any one wondering, to tame u literally just got to get an argy lift it and carry it by ur base, if ur base is in an area with good space, drop it and trank it out. But step2 for safter measures try pre building a 3 x 3 square of thatch or any thing and drop ur guy in it and trank it out i did step 2. IF THIS WAS HELPFUL LIKE ^👍🏼👍🏼

Very easy to tame one of these fellas in mobile. First take a bola and trow it at the roo. Then while it is stuck place 3 to 4 wooden wall signs around it. Trank it and feed it rear mushrooms. You will need a few narqs and soon you will have a bouncy chief

Just shoot it with a net projectile and place billboard above the Procoptodon, then put rare mushrooms in it's inventory and boom, u have one😉

They can be caught with a net. Use the harpoon gun an net the roo, once down use headshots with long neck rifle to tranq it then tame. No need for a trap. Make sure you bring narcotics and the required amount of rare mushrooms to feed it once starve timer is done.

Taming efficiency is not right on here

If you are on scorched earth and want a high level but don’t know how to get 100 rare mushrooms do this: break some crystal to get a couple rare mushrooms, find a really low level kangaroo and tame that, and run around breaking every bush with your kick. You should have more than enough rare mushrooms in no time. Berries, rare flowers, and everything else too!

Nets and shocking darts. Easy peasy

Use a net launcher to trap them its very effective for taming as they cant escape then use your tranq

If you have an argentavis, grab the procoptodon on the claw of the bird and let a friend fire him some tranq arrow / dart. If you don't have an argentavis or a quetzal, then, trap him with bolas and fire him. Bring some wood / stone fence foundation and some wall to build around him to be sure that he's not attacked by any wild creature and be sure to have a lot narco / rare mushrooms. When tamed, a procoptodon is fast and he's a great Dino to tame other since you can jump in his front pocket and fire weapons. Also great in scorched earth when you're trapped in a sandstorm.

For easy tame find one that has a baby and when you attack the parent she will not run instead she will defend the baby making it easier to hit head shots with tranqs

If you have an argentavis build a 3x3 (im not sure how small it has to be just make sure you can fit the proctopordon inside) thatch box and make sure the proctopordon can’t escape once you are done get rare mushrooms (cut swamp trees down) and knock using tranq arrows/darts

Use three billboards to trap him. You have to place it quickly but is by far the easiest and quickest way to tame imo.

So I tamed one and I went into it’s inventory and I looked if it was hungry and I saw that I could have it have a helmet on its head. And I’m at level 73

Use an Argy to clip it in the front. Land and walk into the roo head first. It will just keep walking but not go anywhere, if you miss or it turns try again... it will happen keep at it..

Once hes stuck in the argy (While still on the argy) use spike walls or something to block it in. Ive used this on official now and it works great for solo players. Otherwise it can be tricky to tame. You can try to Trap it using rare flowers but for me the clipping method works best. Best of luck 😇

If you're having troubles with taming it, and you for some reason don't have rare flower, then you can try waiting until it stops jumping and place a tent on it which should block it sometimes inside of it, then surround it with spike walls, then knock it out.

It says its torpor drain is average but it’s not it drops fast. The good thing is you don’t have to feed it much narcotics to keep it knocked out

Easy way to tame a procoptodon:

1.Build 4 wooden signposts

2. find a procoptodon.

Wherever procoptodons are, Spino’s or rexes are nearby.

3. Find a safe place (volcano crater, your base, cliffs)

4. Put down three sign posts

5. Use an Argy to carry the Procoptodon to the signposts.

5. KO with tranqs.

6. Feed rare mushrooms and Narcotics

Boom! Now you have a prehestoric kangaroo!
