Can no longer be bola'd, can't be carried by any fliers, and their idle speed makes it difficult to trap. A pretty easy way to tame them is by freezing it with a snow owl and putting spiked walls around it

Very good mount. Level up movement speed, stam and health (just in case) then they are fast with getting around and get get away from almost anything. Even a giga!

Nothing quite sucks as much as losing a good tame because you had outdated information.

They CAN NO LONGER BE PICKED UP by Argy, knocked out or not.

Don't do my mistake and don't waste your time trying to pick up your knocked out procoptodon, just build that spike fence before something attacks!!

When a baby dinosaur is being loaded by procoptodon the baby dino gets a 2x buff more impressing beyond the fact that the baby feels comfort and less hunger when it is being loaded by a procoptodon female

How to tame a procoptodon

1st step: get either rare flowers or a lymantria

2nd step: find the procoptodon of your liking

3rd step: craft billboards

4th step: stun the procoptodon with the lymantria and put bill boards around it

4th step(rare flowers): put three billboards down and leave an opening, hide behind the billboard that’s in front of the opening and eat the rare flower, once the procoptodon is in the trap place the last billboard down

5th step: tranq the procoptodon and feed it rare mushrooms

If you want a real experience in taming then run it down with a equus or any fast mount and tranq it. Real wild hunting!!

To find them you must not find them (what I mean is you should not try every time I don’t wanna look for them i find tons of them)

On Fjordur, use the teleport realms menu ( hold R on PC, X on Xbox and 🟪 on PS4) and select Asgard - North. There's Kangaroos in the fields to the east (and in just about every other field too).

Also great place to find Argys, Ankylos, Doedis, maewings, and otters 😇

One of the better dinos to tame on a scorched earth server, as they can still jump in a sandstorm, giving you and another person a tactical advantage over anyone without this great Dino.

Best tame for late game battles on PVE. Can outrun most ground creatures even other players tamed when used right. I've been chased by 6 playered tribe on Saber, Baryonyx and Gallimimus but managed to escape because of my level 268 Procoptodon named Bert. They can jump from cliffs and doesn't take damage from the fall like a champ. And the knockback of these guys are great too.

So make 3 wood billboards and every so often they stop for 4 or 5 seconds so that's when you strike you hurry and place the three in a triangle and eat a mushroom so it sticks it'd head out at you

and it only takes 10 through 15 trank arrows for a 140 that's the only one I know but then use the mushrooms that you eaten (make sure you have 10 or 12) and kill ANY that moves because when you eat the mushroom EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING will come for you so do that before you eat one and then feed it the mushrooms and wait you don't need any narcotics but have some on you just in case because these things spawn near Rex's so tame one of them to if you want and there you go you now have a procoptodon that helps will your baby's and increases the imprint amount when they are in the pouch (can only do this with females not males )

Best way to tame is either billboard around it or a net gun. Protocoptodons are pretty great dinos especially for traversing the aberration cave in valguero

To tame it for ark mobile

Step 1 make a trap

Step 2 find the one you like

Step 3 get it using argy

Step 4 put it in the trap

Step 5knock it out

Gather berries with it. Still able to move forward once its overencumbered with its kick-attack.

I found mine at the base of the nearest non-snowy mountain at the almost entrance to the snow biome.

I found out, purely by ACCIDENT, that this kangaroo can carry ADULT Ovis —tamed only, of course, but my point remains. It can also carry adult Kairuku (again, found that out purely by accident).
