The Obelisk
-Epilogue-
โWhat do we do now?โ
Forest swallowed silently, glancing around at his friends. They were back in the cave, the light of the portals sending vibrant light onto their feathers and scales.
His stomach churned as he cast his gaze over each of them, seeing his own thoughts and emotions reflected in their eyes. โI donโt know,โ He said quietly.
โItโs over,โ Spark whispered. โWe did it. Jethezzar was the danger to Fjordur, and heโs gone now.โ
Nyx blinked, her tail twitching. โDoes that mean this is goodbye?โ
The Five all stared at each other, before Spark pulled in Forest with her tail. Nyx stepped forward to hug them, and Forest glanced at Crimson, who sighed and stepped forward to join in. Rust dwindled at the back before being yanked over by Crimson.
Forest sighed and closed his eyes. โWeโll be able to see each other again. But for now, itโs time we all got back home.โ

โHello?โ
He stood in the cave entrance quietly. The day was cold but bright and cloudless, sending rays of sunlight filtering through the familiar forest.
He scraped a claw against the rock under him, blinking anxiously. โIโ Iโm back,โ he called.
Something sounded from down the tunnel, and Forest perked up hopefully. Then a bat chirped and flew past him and outside of the cave, its tiny wings flapping wildly. Forest turned his head and watched it go.
โForest?โ
Forest spun back around. His mouth opened slightly at the sight of a Rock Drake with plum and grey-brown feathers, her eyes staring widely at his.
โRi?โ Forest exclaimed.
โOh my gosh!โ She ran forward and jumped onto him, knocking them onto the ground as she wrapped her arms around his sides.
โI canโt believeโโ Forest beganโ
โGuys!โ Ri called, lifting her head to the tunnel. โCome on out! Heโs back!โ
There was a pause, and several heads poked out from inside the tunnel, blue and green and grey eyes glinting. Then one stepped out and ran forward, and the others followed.
โHaze!โ Forest cried. โCrystal!โ
โYou came back!โ Haze yelled, her blue and grey feathers fluffed up as she squeezed him tightly. โYou survived, you crazy Rock Drake!โ
He laughed breathlessly, smiling as he returned the embrace to his three sisters. He looked as happy as ever.

Forest sat out on a small ledge outside the cave, watching the stars. He breathed in the muddled scents of the ice-cold water and stone, the still air comforting him.
He glanced over at his bag, which was leaning against a rock a pace away. Forest blinked down it, then up at the moon.
A moment later he pulled the rune out. The small stone slid warmly in his talons. No light came from it now.
He hopped down from the ledge and stopped before taking one talon and scraping carefully at the soft ground with his claws, forming a small hole.
The rune was dropped inside.
He slipped the pile of dirt over and turned to go home.
Why does this thing have one toe? I NEED TO KNOW
Procoptodon Chronicles (Ch 12)
Roody couldn't hide her excitement. Was Redwing back? Had the human revived him? The Argy landed on the beach and Roody's joy faded. This wasn't Redwing. The new Argent was a much younger and much colder bird. While Redwing wasn't the greatest at being social, he at least attempted to be friendly. Corvi had no intrest in such things. She was a sleek, black bird who was vicious and took everything seriously. Any attempt to greet her was met with a glare. One night Red made the mistake of trying to curl around the sleeping Argy's leg and was immediatly crushed. Roody had just kicked the bird off of her small friend when the human arrived and immediatly broke up the squabble. After treating Red's injuries, the human moved Corvi to the Aviary pen with Tango and the Peligornis.

Procoptodon Chronicles (Ch 17)
"Roody! Behind you!" shouted Red. Roody looked back to see a pair of allos dashing down the side of the mountain, snatching up terror birds as they went. The carnivorous duo was focused on the birds until one of them spotted Roody. A procoptodon was good eating. There was definitely no way out for her now, but she had one last idea. She moved a little to the left and lined the survivor up with the two cliffs. "Hang on tight, Red," she shouted. "What does that mean?" The otter shouted in confusion. With what little energy she had left, Roody charged at the human and gave the strongest kick she could muster.
Anyone thought why there saddle looks exactly like the rex saddle๐ง๐ง
Procoptodon Chronicles (Ch 11)
Though the human had returned and most of the creatures found themselves back in their normal routines, Roody and Red remained in quiet greif for their friend. Most nights, Red had usually curled up around one of Redwing's legs, his wings sheilding her from the wind and rain. Now the little otter climbed into Roody's pouch for warmth. They were the last two of an odd trio, and they needed each other's friendship now more than ever. After about three days after the incident, the human began making preparations again. Roody didn't bother asking what the plan was. She had seen the survivor clean and pack Redwing's saddle. The human climbed onto White Fang the wolf's back, and set off. Red remained behind this time, to her and Roody's releif. They had finally started feeling like their old selves. The human returned the same day. Tango sqwuaked out her arrival as usual and Roody looked up. A large winged figure flew up high, silhouted by the sun behind it.
