The Pelagornis is a passive, flight-prone creature commonly found around beaches and shallow water, making it easy to overlook or difficult to approach safely. To tame one, lure it onto land or a stationary raft, immobilize it, and use tranquilizers carefully, avoiding knockouts over deep water; feed it fish meat or preferred kibble while maintaining its rapidly dropping torpor and protecting it from predators. Once tamed, it serves as a versatile mount that can fly, walk, swim, and rest on water, supporting scouting, ocean travel, pearl diving, and organic polymer gathering. Its low carrying capacity and weak combat ability make it better suited for mobility and resource collection than direct fighting.
