I suggest you use tranq arrows because it wakes up fast also make sure you have alot of fish meat because I tried to tame one today but I didn't have enough fish meat so I just took its egg ima build a base with incubator im only lvl 9 but hope someone sees this

As a flying mount it's not too shabby. It's stamina regens pretty fast, can "swim" on top of water and speed isn't so bad. However this thing shines the most in polymer gathering. I've killed baby kairukus with this thing and it gathered a crazy amount of it its not even funny. Tame these guys for their polymer gathering capability

We can fish off it with a fishing pole.

One word to some up this bird? Safe! You can litarally spend a rainy night on its back floating in the shallows. Come morning, kill some fish and be on your way.

This bird kills piranhas in one hit, extremelly satisfying.

The pelagornis can be very useful for helping get players or dinos across piranha infested waters. Since they do 10X more damage to piranhas, coels, and salmon, they can be used to clear out swarms of them in rivers or swamps. You can then safely cross the water without needing to worry about piranhas killing your friends or dinos. Make sure to be aware of other dangers in the water such as sarcos, spinos or megalodon.

Bola to tame as they fly away fast than i always spam with narcs

Not really a starter flyer. Saddle is lvl43 so just get a petearon instead. Also idk if it’s just me but I needed a ton of narcotics to tame it, like 10+ wich is way more than it says so come prepared. Ichythesaurus is great for taming these just level out on top of the water and use a few tranq arrows then get off and take it while it floats. Make the starters see

You can tame this pretty easily by finding one and waiting for it to land, then just bola it and knock it out with your fists or a club, I reccomend first crafting a club because it might escape from the bola before its knocked if you use your fists. Once you’ve knocked it out, put raw fish meat in its inventory, with a few, maybe 20-30 narcoberries and force feed it those when it’s torpor gets low.

They can harvest jellyfish biotioxin by just swimming up to them on top of the water and eating them.

Good for fishing and traveling through water if you level oxygen! You can fish right off of its back, so no need to build a chair.

Pretty similar to a Pteranodon. Except for that its saddle is learnt slightly later, and it can land on water, has a damage multiplier against fish and is the best harvester for organic polymer

Can be used to lure megalodons. Piranas will freely give you their meat landing on water near them. You deal 5x damage to fish when on water. Can be used with fishing rod as mobile platform.

My friend tried to tame one with meat he said it’s a bird it should tame with meat and I say it’s a seabird so he goes and tries to kill my level 300 tuso because I told him it was a low level (he is not in my tribe) rip lol

These are a great early game flyer. While they don’t have the weight of an argy or the barrel roll of pteranodon they can land on water meaning that you can bypass swamps and other obstacles with ease to recover stamina. Also the organic polymer thing is great.
