You can Fly around with one on your Argy Or Crystal Wyv Put them on detecting and boom base finder 1000

Taming at max effectiveness is easy, basic kibble is the easiest kibble to make in the game with extra small eggs being the 'hardest' ingredient. (go get a dodo first.) Only a little is needed for a lvl 150 para. Bola it first, then hit it in the head with a bat. Repeat until it's unconcious, load it up with kibble, and done! Enjoy your max level max effective Para. They make good pack mules, good long distance mounts, and great security. And they're better at harvesting berries than you are!

Parasaurs are very good first tames. They have a lot of base Weight, so getting one early will allow you to put points in Health, Speed, or Fortitude and put them in Weight later on.

Aberration use.

Good first tame to harvest fungal wood from large mushrooms and mushroom trees. Gets 3x more fungal wood vs wood.

Use the call! It scares away terror birds lol

The Tek version can be used late game for a electronic, element dust, and scrap metal farm. I would circle 1 male with 10 to 15 females

A good walking backpack and very good for low level building.

Tech parasaurs are pretty common make sure to kill em they give electronics and oil and other stuff

Tek parasaur breeding pairs are a good source of element dust, electronics, scrap metal, and oil! They also make good early game mounts, being better than normal parasaurs, but not really having any drawbacks for being a variant.

To take. A parasaur just kill it with your hands if a pro at it and if your bad you can make a bow and arrow and tranq arrows to knocl it out and feed it

The parasaur is, in fact, useful!

Need narcotic arrows? Fear no more! Run around hitting bushes and you have enough narcoberries to probably knock out a decent dino! (I managed to make 50 narcotic arrows within about 5 mins of harvesting narcoberries)

Wanna move locations? Get a decent level parasaur and lvl up its weight (and maybe speed/stam too) and you can bring a small amount of important stuff around

Need to know where enemies are (such as when you're taming a dinosaur)? It has a turret mode that points out nearby enemies, even if they're behind a wall where you can't see

And best of all, they're super easy to tame, just use the small, depressing few narcotic arrows you made, shoot one down, and you can now tame pretty much anything! (Well, if it has a bunch of health)

According to the wiki the base attack of a para is 12... To the person who said u can take on a Rex with your melee 1000% parasaur, think again since ur damage each hit would only be 120...take into account that to get 1000% melee from, say 100%, I think u would have a parasaur of at least lv 300 or so. And that's if u don't distribute too many points on other stats. In which case u would probably face a lv 100- 300 Rex, quite strong enough to kill ur parasaur it in a fair fight

(Not sure since my best parasaur was a 360% lv167 parasaur, And It never felt suicidal enough to whistle attack on a Rex with it.)

Of course if you are talking about mounting you parasaur And keeping it behind the rex, utilizing it's wide turn radius, then sure. Yeah, since A lv10 parasaur leveled entirely in stamina could eventually win that fight, given time.

These things are great early game because they are fast runners with all right stamina and their saddle is low level and you can tame one with one bola and some berries

If your on a pvp server these guys can be put in strategis spots and put into turret mode as a way to see is something is in your base, or to see if your base is being attacked.

Parasaurs are good for harvesting thatch and berries. They also are good for scouting out any dangerous creatures near by.

Parasaurs can actually fit in a 1x2 gap

If you build a green house 10x10 take this guy in there put him at the end of the row and start harvesting from the other end of the row when you get to him deposit food and you can reap all crops without being encumbered he helps me get 10k narcotics every three hours!

These ducks will happily gather berries outside of your base if you need berries fast and easy. And if you can, tame a tek parasaur cause they look amazing

Also people forget it's new ability of finding threat wild creature great if using in the dark my advice get a pack of dimorphs or troodon anything small but powerful and your safe

When you are a beginner i recomend taming 2 or 3 parasaurs and make then folow each other in line so you can make some sort of caravan to farm more wood,hide,flint and stone.
