Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a parasaur? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a parasaur.
When knocking out I recommend using a bola on it then beating it with a club. In my personal experience for taming for about lvl 20 it usually takes 50 berries of any type. For lvl 200 I think it once took me over 100 but unclear on amount as it has been a long time.
It's so simple just bola then put fences then tame three simple steps
A solid tame bola it smack it with a club or shoot it with tranq darts it is advised to BOLA IT FIRST especially for high level parasaurs they can be usually Found in groups so attack on the rest will run minimizing your chances of getting a parasaur
Grab a bola and two clubs. If it’s high level, grab your friend and both club it, you may need to bola it again. If it is high level and you are alone, a tranq arrow or two from a crossbow will knock it out. These are great tames for starting out as they can be used as a distraction from a dangerous animal and can be replaced and they are great narcoberry gatherers for starting out! Recommended as a starter tame!
When I first started on the Island I was alone, cold, and naked. I was punching trees, and gathering bushes. But then I saw her. Being a noob I had no clue what it was but I wanted it! I ran right up to her and started punching, and after about a 5 minute chase she was out cold. When I tamed her I named her Luggy, and she was to be my pack mule. I’m now a level 96 and still use her 1,345 weight to carry anything I need, and gather all my resources. Moral to the story; get yourself a parasaur and upgrade weight and maybe some Stam and speed. Very useful tame in the beginning, maybe the best.
Can someone please tell me why my parasaur wont tame, I put the berries in its inventory but the tame meter just stays at 0.0%? What can I do I have tried it multiple times with different parasaurs and it doesn't work.
In options there is a turret mode but it can’t move
I just started the iPad version and I advise get it stuck between two rocks and move around and use the club get some head shots and it’s out cold and just get tintoberries and some narcobarries my was level 11 and I got two more levels on it when it was tamed best tame so far except kilo the silo kilo sounds like ky-low
Early game this Is where the bulk of your hide should come from. First kill a Dodo or two to get hides for Bolas, then use said Bolas to immobilize and kill Parasaurs. If you're in an area with a decent spawn rate for Parasaurs, hunger and the ever present need for more hide becomes a thing of the past.
How to tame:
1. Find a high level
2. Craft a bola and club
3. Through a bola at the parasaur’s feet
4. Knock it out by beating it senseless with the club
5. Feed it berries
6. Wait for it to wake up and become forever debted to you
7. Name it (Go to the name ideas if you want)
I really hope that this helped.

Softpaw
Parasuars are the best dino for early - mid game. While they loose their use late game, a high level one could be GAME CHANGING. Have 20 + tranquilizer darts, and a bow or whatever, you should be ok. Dont bother taming one of they are level 8 or less. A good way for taming is get on a rock that it cant get to, and just shoot it with tranquilizers. Anyway, if you find a level 30+ one, it could be helpful. Really good early-bird game pet.
Use tranq arrows (if your a beginner you can find them in white supply drops) and make sure tobola it first then feed it lots of berries, mejoberries are best.
Craft a saddle after you've tamed it, then you've got yourself a good ride.
How2Tame #2: Parasaur
Welcome back to How2Tame! Today we will tame a Parasaur, the second tame you should get yourself.
1. Find a Parasaur and gather berries and Carrots.
2. Use the Bola weapon to ensnare your future pet and strike it with a club until it falls asleep.
3. Put your Parasaur food in its inventory. Do not feed it Stimberry, as that will decrease its torpor faster. Instead, use Mejoberry, Tintoberry, and more (including those black berries that you don't eat yourself).
4. Soon your Parasaur shall be tamed. What rhymes with tame? Name! Name is what you should give your Parasaur. Use names that will be appropriate for the gender and perhaps appearance. Now your pet is officially official.
5. Craft a saddle for it and ride it to get resources like berries and wood faster than any Sickle or Hatchet you could ever craft. Note: If you upgrade your Parasaur's attack, it will gather wood faster.
Goodbye all, and I, Zeta, sincerely hope this did help. Find my previous tip at the Dodo page and my next tip tomorrow, at the Lystrosaurus page. See you!
