Great beginning mount and a very quick tame, takes around 20 minutes for lower level ones.

Great mount in general. Loyal and surprisingly not the worst fighter. I was collecting resources in the woods on my mount when all of a sudden I was attacked by a carno. Luckily my parasour, Paraphrase, was up for the challenge. He killed the carno with more than half of his health remaining. Unfortunately I had to sacrifice him to a Therizinosaurous while I was taming a sarco. RIP Paraphrase 2017-2017.

Perfect for starting out. Easy to tame, good for holding your stuff, and their kibble is preferred by raptors, a good starter carnivore.

This is a great first tame. It is often used for riding but that is not a good thing to do because they are pretty slow. But they are good for carrying your stuff. Great first tame.

Somewhat good for begin game I would recommend a trike though

Place a few at edges of your base in turret mode and it will highlight nearby hostile creatures. Excellent way to detect piranhas in water near you as well. Warning: it also triggers on oviraptors for some reason. Can also be set to detect humans for PVP servers.

Tame 10 or more and make a storage train to transport tons off stuff. Parasaurs are basically mobile large storage chests. Pump speed and stamina (speed more than stamina)

Great pack mule. Easy to tame, common, fast enough to keep up while you craft walls and foundations that you immediately stuff in its inventory. Strong and sturdy enough to protect you from dilos and other silly small agro dinos. As a mount... eh. I don’t go far early game, so personally not worth the early game material.

Good for berries to tame other herbivores and also needed for weight but its a start and soon you'll want a turtle..

OMG. use these guys to get berries. Just press the punch/throw button when it's nose is over a bush. 5 mins of doing this and you get about 300 of each berry type and lots of seeds too. They can also kill dodos and lystros

Tamed 10 got all to level 15 killed giga fuckin awsome

A great sport animal thanks to the fact it is easy to maul on a raptor or with a sword

Although these dinos are solid tames, trikes and other berry bois can be better tames if they are nearby.

Use a bola before you hit it. It won't be able to run away, and you can tranq/club it to k/o.

P.S. If you're on Xbox, and you haven't ridden anything before, when you ride this you get a stylish version of its saddle for the achievement.

The ammount of narc berries needed are wrong. Just had one stand up on me using exactly what was said to be needed.

This is a good starting Dino because it gets you berries to stay alive

To tame, unlock the bola engram and craft a few. Hit the Parasaur with the bola and you won't have to chase it as you try to knock it out. Build spike walls around it to keep out most carnivores.

Crops will give you the highest tame bonus.

In v248 it is one of the dinos you can use weapons on while mounted. It's decent speed and stamina will allow you to chase down and tranq creatures that you normally wouldn't be able to chase (ex kangaroo)

Use a bola and aim for there chest use ur bat to nock it out
