This is how to tame a paraceratherium (giraffe thing) first lead it away from the swamp and if needed kill the herd so the others don't get agro-ed' then you should have a fast mount for example pteranadon argy or procoptodon then shoot and run on your mount then every few seconds dismount to take a couple shots. when knocked out feed veggies or berries (mejoberries) saddle is unlocked at level 41( this is a good early game behemoth like dinosaur

These guys are great for turrent soaking, if you slap a decent platform saddle on one and build a decent sized metal wall as far back as possible, just big enough to cover the paracer’s back you can use it to soak turrents walk it backwards and it won’t take much damage great way to raid some new bases

If you are relatively new to Ark, it would be better to tame a paracer than a bronto simply because it’s easier to move around. Even though it has lower stats in health and weight, it still has an adequate amount of both. Stamina will be higher as it is smaller in comparison. Putting levels in health, weight, and melee is best, then maybe put a few in stamina and/or movement speed to make it a better travel companion. Overall, this is an adequate pack animal that is more compact and easy to travel with if you are in early mid game.

i shot one with 18 tranq darts and 30 tranq arrows and he didn’t fall over bruh

I have a whole army of these guys a total of seven of them three of them have platforms. They are unstoppable. The one in the middle I named WORLD PIG and a an eighth one in my base so I can pack it with materials if I am raided and I manage to escape.

A low level paracer tamed early in the game with a slingshot is a valuable ally. Just make sure you are up high before you begin firing.

I use it to hold a crap ton of wood when I go farming

Here are a few reasons why I would reccommend getting a Paracer for mid-game:

-Fairly easy to tame

-Great for harvesting thatch

-Higher level paracers have tons of health

-They deal a surprising amount of damage

-You can unlock the paracer saddle at lvl 41 and the platform saddle at lvl 50; The platform saddle is very useful as you can place things on it and it doesn't weigh down your paracer

Surprisingly very efficient for water. A few stats in oxygen and speed and you got a decent all terrain mount. Will it look strange, absolutely, but it works. I have a paracer with 1470.0 oxygen and we’ve been to the depths of the ocean!

I had just set up a sarcophagus trap and was adding a few more ramps and one of these fell into my trap, it was lv 12 so it needed work but it was still a weird incident, I named it parcy 😂

I have built the ultimate wyvern killing factory with this guy. First I went and tamed one of these guys and got the platform saddle and built a house on it. So then I went to the wyvern place and put it there stole a wyvern egg and I had guns on the roof so it killed the wyvern. Then brought back down to my base and hatched it.

Bare in mind .. he can’t get on a boat with you.. you need to walk with him across the map.

I am currently in the process of taming one of these, and the torpor drain-rate information is incorrect. Mine is currently half way done taming, and it’s torpor is only about a fourth of the way drained. The real drain rate is either normal, or low, but definitely not high.

On abberation use these on the red shrooms to get hundreds of rare mushrooms.

Be careful when shooting this beast I got killed by a herd of em while going trough the swamps

If you want to save your life with raptors then run and hide yourself behind the praceratherium . Raptors will leave you and start attacking him/her.
