Pachy can one hit a wood spike wall with its charge attack regardless of melee stat. Pump health and make your self a weapon of spike wall destruction
Pachy' don't deal large amounts of damage but their attacks will deal torpor. When fighting in the wild don't engage packs large then 3 if you only have basic weapons because they will knock you out quickly then have their way with you.
My war pachy will embarrass the most professional ark players.
Super fun to knock people off cliffs while yelling THIS IS SPARTA
Good for low levels. Collects thatch and knocks out things
Charge atack(Right Click) only hits big targets, it goes trough anything smaller than itself.
Easy to knock out just get a bola and start hitting
The first time I heard one of these little critters, I thought, hey is that a goat?! Anyways, they are fun to have around and tamed, as they knock things out and run pretty fast while charging. However, they have considerably low health and stamina, so they can be quite troublesome when low lvl. But who cares, they make goat noises. If only they could eat anything
Use a bola to restrain pachy so you can knock it out.
While not the best fighters pachy's make decent early travel mounts. Their base speed isn't all to high but using the alternative attack will cause the pachy to charge forwards are decent speeds and dealing a fair amount of torpor to what ever they hit. Pumping movement speed and stamina will have you moving around the map with ease.
Make sure you don't get too close, or you'll be the one being knocked out :p
Lat 65.4 long 40.8 you'll find it's dossier. I actually found it by acident I was walking along with my allo on a hunting trip then I stumbled on it with out even knowing any thing was there an was really surprised. Good luck and may the ARK gods be good to you.
I've found it does a better torpor than the scorpion or frog, a good pachy can knock out small to medium dinos with minimal problems.
Its charge attack is significantly faster than its sprint- I can easily leave my tamed carno in the dust with it.
Just keep in mind that you can't turn, and easily get hung up on even small rock-piles when charging.

Super fun ride! Charge attack is the funnest. Another use for the charge is if you are travelling long distances in FLAT areas.
Goat simulator in a nutshell. But my only tip against him is:Tamed or not whanever he charges he is bad at turning So try dodging the heck outta him and better have a range weapon and a bola
Keep your distance if it hits you twice you will be knocked out!!
They do attack you and are not that hard to kill just don't attack one near other ones or they all will attack you. They can kill you easily if you are low level or have no armor or weapons.
A pack of 4 or more of these little guys can down a low- to mid- level carno without breaking a sweat, but they tend to get stuck on one another when used in packs. Best I've found is to make a follow train with each dino set to follow the one in front of it.
Pachycephalosaurus are small, slow dinosaurs that at first glance may seem lacking in the use department. However leveling one of these Cretaceous critters, especially a high level one, in Melee, Stamina and Health can turn them into the ultimate living taming mount only rivaled by a high Melee Mantis equipped with clubs, knocking out Parasaurs, Trikes, Dilos, Raptors, Pteras and more in one or two charge attacks that can down creatures far more quickly and efficiently then the average Beelzebufo or Pulmonoscorpius. Not only that but there eggs can be used to make the preferred kibble of the Paraceratherium. Meaning taming Pachys for eggs is also quite worthwhile
