Taming a ovis is very hard due to what it eats and dangerous creatures around. So if you have a argy pick it up and take it somewhere safe such as your base or make a little pen and drop it in there. Also what it eats is a veggie cake but it's hard to make. Also it's a passive tame so dont knock it out.

Great tip for admins or cheats on single player (not on mobile sorry) just type in exactly this

Get a male and female breed kill the baby you get 100 plus mutton, eat the baby🚐

GO TO HIGHLANDS FOR THESE! Very common there! I found 3 clumped together they were all level 150+ easy tames. Make sure to mate and boom build a farm for wool/pelt or mutton. Worth the grind!

When you breed them you can hold a sword and hold e on them it gives you the option to slaughter. This kills them and you can just harvest them from there.

Trimming its wool does less damage to your shears than you trimming your own hair while producing roughly the same results, life saver if obsidian is hard to come by.

Do not believe the lies being spread here, tamed ovis are still amazing! An ovis with an hp stat of 1,000 or above can produce impressive amounts of mutton if harvested with a good pick. Just be sure to have somewhere to put the mutton while butchering as your inventory will fill up quickly.

Use a chainsaw on an ovis and be amazed

There should be no problem taming this creature at all. They look amazingly animated, and they're rideable without a saddle. It also gives some pretty good items if chopped up. Mutton, hide, and pelt are some good items to own in this game. This is a must have mount. Did I mention they're adorable?

I recommend finding the highest level sheep you can so you don’t waste cake 🎂
