Otters are small, passive creatures commonly found near rivers, streams, waterfalls, and ponds, where they may need protection from predators and accidental trampling. Tame them passively by feeding whole dead fish when hungry; never attack or knock them unconscious, and consider moving them to a secure enclosure first. As shoulder pets, they provide heat and cold insulation, can harvest fish meat and gather Silica Pearls with a chance of finding Black Pearls, and can carry multiple artifacts for cave expeditions.
