I once had a christmas otter that my cousin named christmas boi, one day raptor claus dropped a gift and my cousin had to swim to get it, he forgot to leave christmas boi back with me, when he was in the water my cousin was attacked by pirhanas, the pirhanas killed christmas boi too RIP christmas boi.
So once me and my sister were playing and we decided to tame an otter so I went on my sarco and she went on our parasaur so we where near a swamp and we saw a frog and we decided to tame it and named it hops then we find one but hops died to like fifty titanaboas and we did it for my new favourite
Creature Harry otter
I found my otter when I was coming back home from a journey. I had never seen one before, and I fell in love immediately with him. So I tamed him and named him Otto, and we were inseparable. I even gave him my old cloth hat. But one day. I was out with Otto and my Phiomia, when a raptor pinned me down and killed me, and also killed Otto. I was honesty crying a little because I loved him. But then I found my Phiomia had killed the raptor before it ate Otto’s body, so I was able to get his implant, and revive him
TL;DR: Tamed my first otter, a cutie named Otto, and he was my baby until a raptor killed him and I. But my Phiomia was a good girl and saved his body so I could take and revive him
My otter history
So when I first started ark I saw an otter in my small lagoon time to time and I thought it was just a group of otters, not a SINGULAR one popping up constantly. So I thought, so I can't tame this guy (I didn't realize you had to drag a fish corpse to it), I what kind of loot does this guy drop, so I. . . Well killed it (I AM SO SORRY LITTLE OTTER) and so once I realized it was just the one guy and how useful they actually are I felt really bad. A couple day later I found a otter right next to my base, so by then I realized I could tame it and how and I got an awesome shoulder pet. Almost immediately I wanted to go get some pearls so I went to the lagoon again and saw something on the other side, I didn't get a clear sight of it so I was going to investigate it after I get some pearls. I put my otter down and whistle attack on a fish, and so I turns out that the mysterious figure on the other side of the lagoon WAS A FREAKING BARYONYX, so when my little otter was in the middle of the lagoon it annihilated my poor defenseless otter while I tried to kill it with my crossbow. My otter. . . Sadly didn't make it, but SOME FREAKING HOW I SURVIVED. (P.S. I was a low level so all I had was my crossbow and my brand new pike on the island map) I now have firearms and electricity and haven't found and otter since.
R.I.P. my little otter friend.
I once let my otter Nutmeg on roam so she could harvest some pearls for me. I followed her in the water so I could target coelacanths and fight off any incoming threats. I ended up being savagely attacked by piranhas and saber tooth salmon. I was screaming and fighting them off with a sword while Nutmeg calmly swam around looking for pearls. Crazy day in the Redwoods river.
I had started a game on Valguero rather recently and I had been looking for an otter. They didn't spawn near me, though, and I didn't have any fliers on me to go hunting for one. So I was baffled when a 140 otter turned up and was wandering around. Of course, I immediately wanted to tame it, so I began hunting down fish with my spears and died a handful of times, and eventually I get the guy to around 95% or so. I go and kill my last fish, and it's gone. It swam off into the lake, never to be seen again.
Or so I thought, because after multiple more hours of playtime my parasaur senses an enemy nearby. Now, being a pretty inexperienced player I lived in a very safe area where nothing dangerous ever spawned, and the most that would spawn were ichthyornis. So I check it out.
Lo and behold, the 140 otter returned, still waiting for its final fish. So I drop it in a small little pen, worried it might run off again, and go and kill a salmon for it. After struggling to feed it the fish, I had finally tamed it. After waiting so, so long to find an otter, the otter had come to me.
And then while I was trying to grab something I accidentally threw the otter into a lake where it was killed by piranhas in a matter of moments.
Needless to say, I was a little disappointed in myself for doing that. And now I need to find a new otter.
Once apon a time I was with my T. rex and my brachiosaurus. We were chillin when i see this little fur ball running to the water right beside my T. rex and Mind you I had no idea how to tame one of these because I’ve never seen one. So I decided to try to tame it like you would tame any other animal in ark by PUNCHING IT. I punched it and remembered that it probably needs fish and not having to punch it but it was too late. After I punched it once my T. rex took one step back and stepped on the otter and he died.
The strange otter
Wolf queen
Once there was a baby otter named fluffy and she was strange. It had long been a rule otters must stay away from survivors at all costs but fluffy didn’t want to she wanted to meet the survivors. One day her mother went out to catch some fish and so fluffy swam into the water to go to the survivor base across the lake but the current washed her away and down stream she went never to see her mother again. When she came to she saw bright lights and she was scared. Am I dead? She thought. Then she heard strange noises. She sat up and peered over the edge of whatever she was in. That was when she saw her first glimpse of survivors but there were two old otters two. What’s going on where am I she called to them. Then the survivors came over. They fed her two meals a day and she couldn’t see why her mom said not to go near them. One day they took her outside and down to a lake. Go free girl they said encouragingly. So she swam away. It has been three years since this happened and fluffy had made a friend named baby who was two years older than her. One day they where playing in the ocean and a megalodon snuck up on them and it but babies tail off and it bit fluffys stomach. Again she woke up to bright lights but this time she was in the cage with the two older otters. Have you seen another otter around here she asked hurriedly. Yes I think she said her name was baby. That’s great where is she. Well we haven’t seen her in two months. She had a baby but it died and we haven’t seen her since.
One day the survivors moved her to a different cage and there she saw baby. But there was a pup on her belly. I though your baby died fluffy asked. It did but the survivors gave me this one. They are hoping you will raise one to fluffy. I’m never taking care of a stinky baby she said quickly.
But one day the survivors brought her a baby and it was so small and helpless she decided she would care for it.
Eventually the pups grew up and where released back into the wild and lived a happy life with babies of their own.
One time when I was on rapter flame *dead*on my shoulder was my otter Mr .fish level 87 me and my pet encountered a trike who got angry at us because I accidentally bite it's friends and my raptor died but my otter two shorted both trikes
Moral of the story level your otters attack and health and don't mess with otters 🦦
Imma tell y'all a story about how my otter, ocean ferret, was the most tiring tame Ive ever attempted.
I was heading back from taming a high level thylacoleo. I was crossing the river on the east border of the redwoods when I saw this little guy swimming around in the water. I thought, why not just make this expedition even more of a victory? So I went into the water looking for fish. I got a couple of coelacanths and dragged them onto shore. But after I came back onto the beach with another fish, I realized the baryonyx I was riding still had autoharvesting enabled and ate all the fish before I could give them to the otter. So I disabled that and went looking for fish. Eventually, I found the holy grail of otter taming, a x3.2 salmon. I killed it, and began to slowly drag it to where I saw the otter. A whole ingame day has passed by now, so obviously it wasn't where I left it. When I found again, I realized that I was carrying a fish that was the size of my new thyla, and I could not keep up with the otter. It eventually went on land and I could keep up with better there, so I caught up. Then something else went wrong. The fish I was carrying was so big that my character looking in any direction would scan it's hitbox and show me the release option. If it's always showing the release option, it's never showing the feed option. So I dropped the fish, admired how large it was, and went to find something else. Eventually, I tamed the otter and it is now my friend, so yay.
