Guys just don't waste your time trying to tame it on the mobile version of ark Because they don't carry any artifacts on mobile i learned that the hard way..

I just realised that on mobile you actually feed it raw fish meat.

Otter babies are very easy to raise, as they hold and entire 25 pounds of fish meat when first born. Not sure if this is an oversight, but just fill it with meat once, then refill a few more times before it hits juvenile. Can be hard to claim when first born because they tend to bounce all over the place. Overall very fun and easy to raise.

In ark ultimate edition mobile - if u want tame otter then follow methods.

1st kill a fish then collect meat and place on last hotbar.

2nd kill a fish and drag , then go near otter and when u tap , otter feed your fish meat which u place on last hotbar.

The easiest way to tame an otter is to first tame a kaprosuchus and then pick up the otter and hold it there then tame it that way

After taming these guys, put one around your neck they’ll keep you warm so you don’t have to make warm armour for the colder places in ARK

Easily tameable by putting in Argys mouth then feed it fish

They are really hard to find look in small ponds with fish

You can grab otters with argentavis beak and even land/dismount of your argentavis and it will keep the otter on its beak, then simply fish (preferency with your ichthyornis) and feed them.

Here’s what you do you start by placing the otter box then you find an otter with is the hardest part then use your pteradon to pick up the otter and bring it to the box then all you have to do is drag fish in and voila

The Argy has a 3rd ability that let's you pick up very small animals with its beak. Grab an otter out of the water using this and the Argy will hold it still in a safe spot on land while you go get a fish. You can feed the otter to tame while the Argy is holding it.

I literally just tamed an otter, swam across a river to my base and when I looked into the otters inventory she had one pearl and one black pearl!

Everyone mentions that they regulate your heat. I want to give you an idea how much.

Are you sick and tired of always changing your armor depending on temperatures where you’re at on the map? Well look no further! I recommend ascendant ghillie and one of these bad boys (slaps the otter on its butt) around your neck!

No, but all jokes aside, it’s literally the only thing I wear. I completed all cave runs with this combo. The coldest place on the map I’ve found is at the bottom of the ice cave. At -22° I wasn’t even cold because of the otter. And the hottest temps on Carno island and the lava cave, he’s kept me cool.

Last night I landed on a rock to try and tame a archelon. Accidentally tossed the otter off and he went through the rock to the bottom (250m) of the ocean. After I finally got everything prepped to go down and get him, he was on herbivore island 800m away. He swam back to my last base we were at. Not sure if they’re supposed to do that, but it’s pretty damn cool!

Keep it away from piranha and salmon. Put a strong helmet to keep it safer. Also, it takes a lot more salmon than it says on dododex. Lvl 150 took about 20 salmon

Like Kairuku and Dimetrodons, Otters can provide insulation based on their damage status. They are, however, easier to tame and can be carried on shoulder opposed to Dimetrodons, with a smaller hitbox than both the other two while retaining a good insulation capacity, so it's possibly to easily gather as many as 12 around a single egg.

On the con side, their insulation AoE is quite small, so hatching multiple eggs might require a ton of them, wasting creature slots. They have a very low Food stat as well, moreover they are mammals and thus cannot have their genetics stored in the form of eggs inside fridges, so stay ready to feed them fish every 4-5 days.

Otters also act like structure storage units, so one can use them to carry as many Artifacts as it wants.

Level up Melee Damage for portable ACs and living scarfs, Weight for Artifact backpacks and Food as a security measure on breeding stock.

The only tame that can have 2 same artifacts at a time and can keep you warm and colder to.

To tame you need to drag a fish over to them.

Idk if this is a bug or what but it seems that otters tame meter does not decrease.

I was taking an otter one time on the island pve official and forgot where it went and lost sight it.

Few days later found it in around the same area with the same progress as when I had left it.

I made quick work of taming it on the 2nd encounter.

They do not hold infinite artifacts on mobile, unfortunately
