My otter named Soup has gotten me so many Silica Pearls, they’re extremely useful for that!!

The easiest way is to grab them in the beak of an argy! Then you can drag a dead fish to it without it moving. makes it very quick, easy, efficient and safe

The otter is a small and adorable little friend that sits on your shoulder. As well as cute it also can keep you warm in cold environments and can hunt fish and has a chance to bring you both pearl types and prime fish meat

Otters provide insulation against cold.

Ptters are good for getting stuff in the water like pearls, black Pearl's and other stuff sometimes. They are also good for holding artifacts, and for keeping you warm in the snow biome or in the cold.

These guys cannot be hurt by wild dinos, so if your worried about him, he will be ok. At least on mobile… not sure about Xbox.

Taming one is by FAR easier than raising them. If you do want to raise one for some reason, I highly recommend using the mate boosted Procoptodon pouch mechanic. This slows their food consumption which is a lifesaver since they only eat fish meat

Otters can gather raw mutton from dead ovis bodies (and are pretty effective at it too!)

4.Click your otter name at the list

5.Click 'request'

MOBILE: Although they cannot carry more than one artifact, I did a tame request for my otter I left in a cave spot where I died with some items, and it retained said items, which I’m pretty sure can’t be done with other dinos, so that could be a plus

When getting fish me after killing a mega piranha or any kind of fish you should use a pick axe because whenever I harvest meat with it it literally gives me four or more sometimes two

If you are a new player on mobile who gets blessed with an otter spawn like me, as passive tame, feed it with raw fish meat once so you can locate it with the glowing hunger bar because it's really skittish and moves around A LOT. Then kill off the salmon and piranha with the help of several tames so it doesn't kill the swimming otter and so you get more raw fish meat to feed. Do it right and you just got yourself one of the cutest shoulder mounts in the game!
