The decision is wrong I tried to tame two bat a lvl 60 and a lvl 25 so I brought 50 cooked prime with me 2 spoiled I ate 2 so I had 46 to work with i started with the lvl 25 I was left with 11 cooked prime ... Was only supposed to eat 18 but took 35 so double your meats dude and don't try a trap doesn't really work trust me the wings are just everywhere I suggest just a lot of bug repellent and a ghillie suit
More Onyc Taming & KO Tips
You can tame onyc on mobile you just need bug repellant and use soothing balm on them (if you have one) then feed it with raw meat and then wait until it's hungry again and then you have a onyc! Up this so new players can see this
This is a great guard tame get at least 5 or 6 and have them placed inside of a house and if someone breaks in they will kill the enemies very fast and very effectively
I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THIS IS A PASIVE TAME THERE FOR YOU MUST SHOVE FOOD UP ITS BUT WITHOUT IT NOTICING YOU AKA TRAP IT AND USE BUG REPL AND GILLY GEAR THEN SHOVE THE BEST (MEAT) ON IT
Bug repellant is not a necessity, it can be replaced by crawling and using a ghillie suit. This works on all passive cave tames.
Mainly used in PvP to destroy player's armor, the Onyc is a guard animal. To maximize efectiveness upgrade health, damage, and speed.

Just ride a cave spider araneo into the cave and go right up to one u want and feed it meat while on spider easiest tame ever

Flame Thrower
I go to center caves, 2 in redwoods and floating island are best. Full ghillie, bug repellant, sacrificial sheep, chainsaw, sleeping bags, preserving salt. Use wyvern wing flap your target to safe area make sure bat is just above character level. Kill that ovis with chainsaw! Place sleeping bag just in case.. Put taming mutton in inventory with half stack of salt. Rest of salt and mutton into wyvern. Ghillie up! Bug spray! Walk slow! Stand under feed, do not move. Stand there for 5 mins(might be shorter but dang its long) it goes faster after that first bite. Keep track of repellent back away slow and reapply if needed! Perfect tame every time!
Nets and bolas do not work on the onyc.
