Found in almost any cave, the Onyc is an absolute nightmare for the unprepared.

I did a question about this creature I think 1 year ago and it is now at 99 and I am happy it’s close to being 100 also are these bats found in any cave and not just the lava cave up for yes down for no

Yo dododex, why is titano kibble in the immediate recipes area. This thing doesn’t eat them.😅😅😅😅😅😅

How to kill them:

1. Bring 200 arrows and a good crossbow

2. Shoot them

3. Run away

Should these things land and when they land, you can pick them up and use them as a weapon?

Careful of their swarm in Lava caves they will gank you and quickly surround you and push u just little on every hit ... Make sure you have wall behind you and stand with your back against it while fighting them ... Or else Lava ...

It's a slower, but more accurate and powerful version of the Dimorph. It can't carry a lot, move fast or take down larger creatures. but a good distraction/sacrificial lamb or decorative pet.

You have to be level 65 or higher to tame, if you try to tame one while below level 65 it will say "Must Be Level 65 To Tame." They also cannot be fed when aggroed. If you are on ume or pc they have genders so they can breed and have the mate boost, but if you're on old ark mobile they have no gender so they cannot breed or have the mate boost.

but why they do so much dmg tho

If you breed these enough times, get lucky with mutations and all, the Oync becomes a force to be reckoned with, and in groups, will cause devastating amounts of damage.

Its a great creature for Defense and protecting bases.

Some caves are untamable bats, while others are fine, wiki page has a map

These guys give you mega rabies btw so be careful

Quick tip: If you want to tame an Onyc you can simply go in a cave with an Arthropluera since you won't aggro anything and you'll be able to feed them without having to get off them ;)

Just forcetamed one and was able to ride it and it looked VERY silly.

If trying to tame on center be careful cause it may fly up into the skybox right when it is tamed.

Source: Happened to me.

On Raganorok I had just tamed a pteradon at the Viking bay, I flew over the mountain with my pteradon to the castle I landed on the top of it and all of a sudden I get swarmed by onycs and since my pteradon had no stam we got swarmed and my pteradon “Perry” was killed and I tried to avenge him with my crossbow but was killed! RIP Perry

Some of the bats are infected with super mega rabies witch will massacre you and if you have it you will infecte anyone near

My raptor is trapped in the lava cave because of these stupid bat guys and I can't get her out. If you have any tips for how to get her out pls email me at [email protected] pls pls pls tell me how to kill the bats pls
