X-Mosasaurus get 60% damage resistance.So you need to prepare 2.5 times of tranqs items to knock down it.

if you are trying to knock out an X-Mosasaur bring at least 3x the tranqs listed, X-Dinos take 3x less damage from you and your tames so as a result they require 3x as many tranqs. I went through 550 tranq arrows and 5.5 crossbows to knockout a 135 and it took 30 mins of non-stop firing so you might want to build a trap. Btw X-dinos also deal 3x as much damage as a non X-dino of the same species I believe so beware!

The best that to catch a mosa is build a mosa trap just like the wyvran trap but underwater I did and I catch 2. Let I agro you follow it to the trap with a dolphin or a shark.

Their base melee is exactly what it says. 100% melee base is basically a solid 100 damage in the case of thid burdenous JP star and it only adds up from there....

ichy:all wild creatures will ignore you if your riding ichy

diplocaulus: help stay you longer in underwater but need less weight

have an acendant crossbow with alot of trand arrows

Taming tip:

1. Bring kibble btw kibble amount is inacurate for mobile you wil probably need less kibble

2. Bring basilosaurus

3.bring armor(helm hands leggings)

4.bring flipers

Now for tactic find mosa on a basilosaurus and let it aggro on basi when its agrroved dismount get a bit of distance and start tranqing when it starts to flee persu it and shoot when its ko d watch for its torpor and its surounding

Note(when dissmounting you are in danger thats why you need your best armor and make sure everything is aggroed on basi basi shoud be able to take most things with ease)

Easy way to tame on mobile (without a trap):

-Get a high lvl ichthyosaurs

-Lvl up movement speed

-Get scuba gear, a good crossbow, and a lot of tranqs

-Shoot at the mosa while staying on your ichthyosaurs

-Every time the mosa gets close, just swim and it won’t hit you

The good thing about using an ichthy is that nothing will agro on you besides the mosa

You can also use the same technique on basically any knock out tame in the ocean

Heres how me and a friend of mine tamed it (you can also do this by yourself). Make a bird cage trap made out of stone as they dont damage stone structures. When its trapped, just tranq it with the weapon of your choice.

To make a bird cage trap, youll be needing 4-5 Behemoth Stone Dinasaur Gateway, 1 Reinforced Behemoth Gate, and a couple of stone pillars.

1st, decide on where you want to place the trap, I recommend to place it at the bottom of the ocean.

2nd, place the 1st gateway and put the 2nd in front of it, and so on. Make sure to make a little gap in each of them.

3rd, place your gate at the one end of the trap and the pillars on the other end. Make the gap of the pillars wide enough that an Itchy can slip through.

4th, luring the Mosa to your trap, I suggest to use an Itchy. Grab its attention and lure it to the trap, before you do this make sure the gate is open, just go right inside the trap while its chasing you, exit through the back end of the trap. Trap it, Tranq!

I just trapped a lvl.19 mosa with just 2 stone behemoth gates and 2 stone behemoth gates just put them a bit close to each other where ur Icthy can fit in a lil big sides and now u can KO the mosa with ur crossbow with trank arrows or with bio arrows which bio arrows are better I am taming the mosa in the time and date 6:18 PM Friday October 2nt

They are found near Air bubbles down deep below. The Air bubbles also lead to an underwater cave! Have fun!

You can also tame him with a diving suit and a harpoon (narko speer )

It's actually quite easy to tame, the difficulty for me is actually 4/10.

Find a mosa, usually spawns around Carno Island (Aka The Dead Island), if you can't find one, tidy save but if not kill some leeds and plesios because these are actually the creatures that take the points for a mosa spawn.

Find an nearby ammonite and attack it and then get the mosa to aggro on you and go up to the shallow waters. After the ammonite rage has ended the mosa will still follow you for a while bit eventually it'll stop chasing you and will be stuck due to it passing its barrier. Shoot tranqulizers at it and when its' knocked out feed it narotics/bio toxins and feed it its taming foods (Recommended using a sooting balm and its preferred kibble) . Wait for a while and you'll get it! Goodluck!

Passed by two Mosa’s while on a Basilio to get to the artifact of the brute. They seemed to really love to look at the cave wall. One was in the artifact room with me, hopped off, grabbed it and he didn’t even budge. Seems like they don’t give two shits if he can’t physically see you.

I don’t understand why these aren’t in the popular category, they are awesome. It’s percentage of damage is its real damage, which means it originally does 100 damage. They work as a mobile boat (not a submarine because you can still drown). They are incredibly fast to, faster than a tamed itchyosaurus which means they are a fast tanky fighter that can do insane amounts of damage. 10/10 from me.

On rag there’s a cave there’s near blue ob it’s above the mushroom cave on the other side of the bridge and it’s packed with mosa and alpha mosa I killed one and two more spawned right after with a normal one

I'd recommend you go with a giant squid to tame them because you can grab them also the basaileosaurus is not the guy to tame this guy in genesis becuase x_mosasaurs they are at a low depth the basaileosaurus can go only a specific depth till it starts to take damage. Also if you dont use a squid make a trap a 2×2 beheamothgate with some gateways in them only put a gateway in the back when the mosasaur is in there

I use my basilo as bait as it only attacks him and i can pelt him with arrows.
