If you are having difficulties taming this in the deep water especially when it starts running around, do what I usually do on every new map I play:

Get a Basilo (optional) > Plesi/Turtle > Tuso (Squid).

With the squid, you can look for a higher level Mosa easily & drag it to your water dino pen. You can push the Mosa in through a Behemoth gate and just knock them out safely within your base.

It’s a longer route but much safer and more reliable especially when you are aiming to get/breed high level ones.

Two ways to start taming a mosa easily, build a trap and trap it at the bottom of the sea with your kibble and narco ready, or use a tuso to grab it and either cwait 45-60 minutes for free knock out tame or take the mosa back to your water pen/any pen for safer convenient tame.

Just like with the Giga, the mosa can not be fully starve tamed as its torpor is start to drop exponentially. Best to put all your food in is as soon as you drop it ps. Gonna need at least 5 times more narcotics than what the dodo dex states

Well if they took that height limit off the wild mosa no one would ever go into the ocean again. Duna duna it that jaws no its a mosa everyone run.

Build a trap. A good one to keep it in and bad stuff out. Knocked out a 150 and a 15 and 25 mate boosted alpha mosas spawned in right on top of me.

Watch out because rarely you will find a giant lev 50 squid that will grabb your lev mosasaurand wont let go and is apparently cant be killed

Get an ammonite to rage you it will then follow you to the surface and you can then beach it and easily tranq it

Used a ac crossbow and killed a 140. It said 76 amd we hit it with like 80 and it just died. :(

One person use a squid to hold it and bring it to the ocean surface and another person to tranq it. It can't move and gets slightly torpored in the squids grip. Just do not attack it with the squid

You can take one solo, it took me about 100 arrows with a mc bow that has 200 damage

Get the mosa to a agro u then swim to the barrier where he can't get u, get off Ur tame to mark where the barrier is and swim below the barrier 2 get him 2 agro u while u r shooting him and to stop him agro u swim above the barrier keep going above and below the barrier till its knocked out

When I KO these things I like to take a mindwipe beforehand and pump 1k+ oxygen. 150 weight. 350 stam. Makes the mosa easy to kite and solo tame.

When tamed.. beware of jellyfish. Will knock you off and paralyze mosa. Lost amosa because of this. Though I didn't have a tool or weapon to fend off the jellyfish to save the mosa.

When I tame one I just swim down to a underwater rock and hide under a arch area of the rock and keep shooting it with tranqs this way u don't have to move and torpor will be at its highest. Bring scuba gear also no tames needed u can do it solo as player but might aswell bring a tame for food timer

Always nice to have another water Dino with you but be very careful

If you already have a Giant Squid you can grab one of these and bring them back to the safety of your water pen/trap and have a buddy knock it out. 100% Stress-Free

On the center right next to skull island I found a trapped one really close to air need to easy knock one out go there

In the center map, enter a huge air bubble, attract the mosasaurus there because it can't enter the bubble, then whilst it's agroed, shoot tranquilizer arrows or darts at it until it's knocked out.

It should say how many harpoon shots it takes right now or does not show
