A lvl 140 only took me 8 Honey and a bottle of blood from the desmodus and finished in 20 minutes

If Giant Bugs offend you, this is a must have tame

good tip to remember. dont think you can out run these guys they are fast. when taming using a few large bear traps

I found a max level one I netted it and a pack of wolfs attacked and my snow owl went to kill them but missed and killed the megatherium 😭😭

Check the area first before taming

Metal Bill Boards are an easy way to tame it, but alternative stone traps may work (Argentavis Trap, 2x2 door way trap). I highly recommend Honey, easy to get and is practically kibble, but mutton works fine.

if you don't have kibble, they also like honey, raw mutton and raw prime meat :3

Even if they see a bug they will go in a blind rage and try to murder everything in its path. Be careful if you use a rhynio to transport it to a trap and make sure you don’t have to carry it far.

Please be cautious while taming. If they have the bug killer boost, you may die. Because you are a bug to them because PUNY HUMAN.

To tame this beast create the contraption built from:

-4 Stone Foundations,

-16 Stone Door Frames,

-6 Wooden Ramps.

The foundations will hold the stone door frames you want 16 stone door frames to put on the perimeter. 8 stone door frames on top of 8 stone door frames. Hit the Megatherium when the trap is set, run up the wooden ramp and weave through the stone door frames then it should follow you in and be trapped as it can’t break stone (if you see damage numbers both stay back since it is still angry at you and don’t worry about it escaping it is probably hitting the wooden ramps, which are wooden to be expendable. Now slaughter all carnivores around trank, feed and enjoy your new brood mother musher.🥳

You can pick it up with a Quetzal.

This guy is very strong and tanky. You found him in redwood, desert and dark fern forest.

If you are playing on fjordur travel to jotenhien, you will find many more high level megatheriums (just make sure to have curry, tek canteen, and good fur). Sorry if spelling is bad

When teaming these bad boys try to use a 3 x 7 stone foundation with some stone doorways surrounding it (make sure there 2 high and put a behemoth gate in the front of it that’s a really good trap to make for these guys and also be careful because they are very fast and you cannot out run them

Dont compare stats to t rex, it says trex is higher but this thing harvests more and gets rage effect from killing anything that drops chitin. Which makes them do more damage and take less damage/torpor

The easiest way me and my brother do it is placing a large bear trap down Agro it then quickly place metal billboards around it then start pelting it with tranqs

Can be carried by a quetz and a wyvern. Can attack your mount while being carried if it's facing in the direction of it and can be tamed using honey. Drop it in with a quetz or wyvern and tranq away. Eats honey pretty slowly but very decent efficiency off of it.
