Im playing ark at console.. im playing scroched earth... When you start hit this guy.. this thing can catch you really fast asf.. so if you wanted to tame it .. better find high ground or making trap..

If they attack a bug in the wild their buff makes them aggressive. Was on extinction and one of these killed a spider. 36 chitin wasn’t worth it.

In mobile these things only spawn in the dungeons. Up this so wildcard can put them on in the regular game.

Like many other creatures, the buff of wild Megatherium is applied on sight of the target (all kind of arthropods) rather than after performing the action needed to activate it once tamed (killing), so don't expect to tackle one while there are any tamed or wild arthropods nearby, including even the strongest of the Mantis trained in melee.

It is also worth note that wild Megatherium will become aggressive when the buff is activated, so stay clear of them unless you have means to take it down.

I would recommend fighting the broodmother with these guys they are much easier to tame than a rex they spawn in the snow area which is very dangerous I recommend using a wyvern or a quetzal to pick them bringing them to a safe area trust me if you imprint a army the brood mother would not be a problem not even a alpha one because they have that bug buff which deals even more damage DON’T go for a rex these guys are a better option they much easier to tame up so many people should know❤️👍

If its attacking any bugs around it it will atack you after its done with the bugs and they are pretty powerful happened to me

This thing get a really good bug buff it killed my 120 mantis

It killed me for riding my dinosaur

When you raise a megatherium you can reach 100% imprinted when it’s only 60% matured.

My hate for these guys is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Here I was chilling on a rock right outside my base with my sweet Jerboa on my shoulder. I had tamed this jerboa because I saw it roaming around alone as a baby. And I named it Poor Baby because it didn’t have a mom. I decided I’d be its mom. So anyways we’re just chilling on a rock, and my dumb self thinking these mesotheliomas weren’t aggressive was SHOCKED when one walked by and slapped me and Poor Baby into another time zone. Because it saw a BUG. An oil jug bug to be exact. We both died. RIP Poor Baby!

I was in extinction and I found a lvl 90 megatheriam and I was confused why there was a red aura on it and died BTW I was on fibercraft

There are chill but when they kill a insect they become aggressive and kill everything they see even herbivores I think you know because they have a orange cloud
