1:you can find em in the redwoods or the tundra I think, so look around there and you can find em easy

2: Build a trap with gates kinda like a Giga trap to keep it in there, and then hit it with tranq darts/arrows and feed it it’s favorite kibble

3:then, simply proctect the murder sloth from things like terror birds and allos or something

4: you got a megathirum!

You can only find this creature by going to the dungeons in Mobile

don’t shoot it when its glowing red, the tranq wont be affective. its best to tame it when its trapped and make sure there are no bugs nearby; bugs give the megatherium a buff (the red glow) which makes the megatherium resistant increases and get lower torpor and damage. hope this helps, goodluck with your tame!

On Mobile the only way to encouter the Megatherium is to retrieve their implant by going into a dungeon so be prepared.

Taming these guys in mobile is a pain! You have to go into a specific dungeon, kill one without a mount, take there implant, go back to base and revive it, now you can tame your sloth boi.

Make sure that you aren’t setting up your trap next to a daeodon spawn zone… Not fun…

I know the app says that they can’t break Adobe structures but, with the insect killer buff they can! So if you are going to trap one make sure you use stone or metal and keep your insect tames far away; also kill any insects in the area since they take less torpor damage while the buff is active.

If you want to tame a megatherium you should make a trap.it’s not hard you can search it on youtube.otherwise chasing it around will not be fun.it moves around a lot so a trap would really help.<3

Broodmother fighting, no problem! Have several of these on your team and you'll have chitin for days after it's done. Combat multiplier with each spider kill too so these are a very good investment.

When I first saw megatherium I assumed it was a Herbivore since it’s just a giant sloth. And tamed it exclusively with berries. Which took forever. It was only after I used it and noticed it was eating meat I realised it was an omnivore. Don’t make the same mistake i did. Taming it Exclusively with berries is a pain

Want to tame this insect grinder? Here’s your best way to go about this; supplies; as with every tame u need supplies this is of course what I recommend bringing, you however can bring what you think will work! I recommend shocking tranqs, as a way of quickly putting them down, without them getting to you, pack 200 narcotics for each megatherium you plan on taming (pack a few more just in case) pack some kibble, or veggies, mutton, prime these guys are omnivores but they prefer meat! Next on the shopping list is a net gun, if you are a low leveled player this will be your safest bet on getting one of these, but pack at least 6 nets, in case you eithor miss or they broke free, and there will always be too megatheriums that spawn with each other, meaning they are always in packs of two, if you don’t have access to nets, then beartraps will work too, they’re just not as versatile as the net gun, make sure to pack some GOOD armor, because when these guys come at you o Jesus they will come for you. Having trouble finding some of these Boise? I find them very often on lost island, and crystal isles, (I play on valguero, but I don’t think they spawn on that map) you can find them all over the map on isles, on lost island they spawn commonly at the left of the desert dunes!

Still wanting to tame one? Here’s some options for knock out; nets!, just shoot them both with nets and walk up and tranq them in the head for a quick and painful knockout! And the other option is shoot and flee!, it’s pretty much self explanatory but it is a dangerous operation I recommend health brews if you get overrun. After you knock them out, I prefer mutton to tame them but it’s up to you how you tame them! Congrats you have tamed the fuzzy insect grinder, a VERY effeicant way to kill the brood mother as well as protect your base from bugs, and as cave also have bugs they are good cave mounts if they fit inside the cave, they also have a massive dmg buff when a insect is close by, this is specified by the distinctive red cloud above its head, it will do this in the wild as well making it kill u way faster, great for gathering chitin, and also can gather fiber and berries by harvesting bushes (it’s kinda like a therizino in some ways) very useful tame for players! I adopted it using bait. My best dinosaur was a Triceratops. I managed to adopt it, but if you don't have the budget to build stone walls and floors, bring a bait with a full life, tell it not to be aggressive, and attack the megatherium with the dinosaur. Stop with the dinosaur in place and let the megatherium attack your dinosaur while you shoot it with semi-anesthetizer.
