This thing is practacly god. God himself fears this thing when it kills an ant. It has eyes of rage when it kills a bug. All those time you were on a beach being chased by a level 134 flying ant, with this thing your reverse the roles.

These big ol sloth bois are fabulous at collecting massive amounts of chitin and also get a rather massive damage boost after killing any insect which is fantastic for killing the brood mother and her evil lil spider minions, my lvled sloth does 2.5k damage before boost and around 6-7k damage after boost

Great for Farming Chittin.

But, on mobile, Megatherium can't enter any cave due to its massive body. Just Figure it out and really dissapointed because i can't farm Chittin on Cave T-T

gets buff when in the presence of insects. useful for the Broodmother and artifact caves with many insects.

The number of tranq arrows that the app says you need to knock one out is wrong (at least for crossbows). It said I needed about 52 arrows for a level 120 and I ended up using way more than that. Also no it wasnt in bug rage mode so it couldnt have been the damage resistance

NO LINGER COLLECT CHARCOAL. Got it for that reason and turns out they no longer can, hitting a burnt tree will do nothing

Don’t try to knock it out near insects, including your own. If gets a huge buff when in combat around bugs so your tranqs will hardly work

A really easy trap to make is using three stone dino gateways and two gates. If you put them down in a line, placing the gates on each end, so the Megatherium can fit in the middle, it makes for a great and (relatively) cheap trap.

When you raise a megatherium you can reach 100% imprinted when it’s only 60% matured.

It killed me for riding my dinosaur

This thing will have almost nothing smaller than it aggro, not even Carnos. Just stay away from the Allos. They kill everything.

Underrated gatherer. Great for berries and thatch.

just be careful with these guys, their torpor-run is very fast and they still need quite a lot of tranqs even after they start running

Took 3 of these guys into the swamp. Took 10min to gather 5k chitin. They demolish everything in their path.

He is amazing at harvesting thatch and chitin. Also seems great for travel considering mostly all dinos ignore him. I travelled through the redwoods no problem, terrorbirds ignored him, carnos ignored him. I accidently bumped into a bear but thats all that attacked me. AMAZING TAME! highly recommend this big lovable creature

Would easily recommend using a Megatherium over a Barryonx to do Artifact runs on the island. They are better on every stay, its called 7th best melee in the game.
