The Orinthian Warrior Book 1 Part 18

Dilo was getting tired of this. Already he’s fought so many ghastly beings that THIS THING was sure enough to fell him with a single blow. Now he had his sword raised against the literal snow god, knowing he’d die.

Then he saw the bottle. If he just managed to craft a boomerang and throw it towards the container… he had an idea. Then a massive avalanche occured. *just in time,* he thought. Sliding down it was a familiar rubble golem with the axe seperated into TWO parts. As soon as he got close enough, he double-whacked the monstrosity in the face and covered him under a pile of snow.

Meanwhile, Dilo had ducked behind a rock facing upwards. Then he waddled through the snow. “Hey buddy!” Charcoal had gestured. “QUICK,” Dilo roared, “GET ME ALL THE METAL YOU CAN FIND!” As if on cue, the Hyperboreas Colossus Megapithecus erupted the huge pile of snow and got to his feet, bellowing with anger. “NOW.” The golem ran off to gather all the metal he can find.

Dilo drew his sword and noticed that whatever had been under the colossal being’s chest had been exposed, revealing, instead of a pale red heart, a sky blue orb drawing in power with every second passed.

“For the Thunderhead.” Dilo charged towards the monster, who immediately grew an extra pair of arms and 10 scorpion stingers. All of the being’s limbs (minus the legs) lashed out at Dilo. *I hope this works,* Dilo thought as he raised his sword to the right(Dilo’s vision not yours). Suddenly it lit up in a pale blue light and ice materialized on the blade. Then Dilo leaped up as 14 limbs reached out for him.

He cut through the blades like grass, and this time they did not regenerate. Then floating ice platforms appeared under the Dilophosaurus’ feet as he struck his sword deep into the orb.

“HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!” The Megapithecus roared one last time… before he crumpled to the ground, motionless. “I GOT THE METAL!” Charcoal yelled. Then Dilo yanked the metal out of the golem’s hands and crafted a metallic boomerang.

He flung the boomerang towards the bottle, which, on impact, exploded into storm…
