These guys are super helpful when it comes to tamiing small and med creatures. We have one persone hold the tame with the megalo, and the other tranqs it. Not bolas, no chasing or running around. You also get to choose where the pass out so which is very helpful. Your megalo, May take a couple hits, but most tames don’t hurt enough for it to be a problem.

When they sleep just remain calm don’t wake them they are like cats fine when asleep but when awake are savages they are always awake if they are aberrant variant so all you need includes bola a friend and speed so you can BOLA YOUR TRIBEMATE AND RUN if you miss just make sure you have a higher speed stat as ark once told me

You do not need to be faster than the dinos only your friends

Megalosaurus will sleep during the day meaning if something that’s a high level near your megalosaurus your megalosaurus is probably

dead

People say they are so difficult to tame. Just knock it out through the day you’ll more than likely out run it, found mines in a juggle ran down to the beach so no saber would see me n I knocked it out. Simple?🫠

These babies are always in clever artifact's cave

This is a general tip for any mobile players looking to tame one of these: head to the central cave (located between the two mountains north of the Redwoods) with a mount of your choosing (A baryonyx is very useful), and brave the cave up until you come across a megalosaurus. Then, you can either:

A.) Kill it, take its implant, and revive it in a safe location to tame

B.) KO it then and there, and tame it while in the cave

C.) Lure it out of the cave, into a trap or just into the open, and KO it.

I would highly recommend A, although you will need to have a revival platform and a large cage around it, as well as ancient amber. For less paranoid players, taming it then and there probably won't be as much of a hassle, but I personally don't like taming things in dangerous areas. Hope this helped :)

Knock it out when it goes to sleep (around 6:00) then feed it. You have to take the food before it wakes up (around 20:15) or it's gone. Knock it out again and put the food back in its inventory. It stays knocked out until next evening. Repeat until it's tamed.

Megalosaurus abilities

DAY: (Megalosaurus gets a secret nulify ability ONLY AVAILABLE ON MEGALOSAURUS.It ddcreses speed, dmg, HP, and resistance, and makes megalosaurus very similar to an sick person.)

NIGHT: (When it reaches 20:00-21:00 PM (8-9 PM in Ark time) Megalosaurus wakes up with boosted stats! +25% Dmg, +15% Speed, +10 Resistance, + 85-90 HP!.)

If you use the the attack that picks up small creatures one a karkinos in aberration it will gather lots of organic poly. A megalo is also a very good dino too get your first rock Drake egg with.

On mobile, some dinos completely ignore these things, regardless if this thing attacks or not.

Where is this thing on moblie? I have never seen a megalosaurus yet for odd reasons. I remember seeing a giant kangaroo, a long time later it was never seen again. Some of these creatures disappear in sight! Where are they?

If you are playing on abberation, this creature is a great tame as they will always have the night buff. These are great mounts if you can find a high level breeding pair.

If they are in half sleep dept they may knock out but once you get close to it it wakes up trust me I almost had a high level one on extinction the woke up and killed me I was low on health

In the center map they spawn around the pond that's on the floating island. Pick up with a quetz and bring them to a taming pen. I'd only use oviraptor kibble and starve tame it a couple times. Knock it out during the day..let it wake up at night and knock it out again then feed it

Catch it in the day use net projectiles and tranqs bring superior kibble then BOOM… Lion lizard 🦁

If using a journeyman longneck rifle, it'll only take two regular tranq darts....for a level 4, anyways. My point: use something better than primitive and you'll need less ammo. Hope this helps!

Becareful a megalosaur can awake anytime and kill you that could happen.It happend to me and killed my dinosaurs(not all dead)and when is awake he could take you in mouth and kill you easy
