They are better than both rexes and spinos they have about 300 health more than a spino and deal more damage than a Rex and can level up quite a bit faster than these twoβ¦ they are also much smaller than the rexes and the spinos so they can fit trough smaller gaps. They are also significantly faster than a Rex but are hard to obtain but as soon as you have both a male and a female you can start mating. They also have a reasonable attack speed and can grab smaller dinos to stop them from attacking you. Their damage is even comparable to that of a spino on two legs but donβt attack as fast. If you canβt decide between spinos or rexes to build an army just use megalosaurus they are overall better, just you need to fight the bosses at night or the megalosaurus will be tired and sleep, letting the boss get the first hit
More Megalosaurus Utility Tips
They should update these guys so they stay awake permanently in caves. So they can be used on other maps other than aberration. They could be a good cave dino. Please wildcard make it so these guys don't fall asleep in caves! It makes sense since there is no sunlight in the caves. "Up door" so wildcard see this Please!

The megalosaurus is one of the strongest therapods, but its nocturnal sleeping pattern make it significantly less effective during the day. The megalosaurus can bite and even latch onto enemies β including humans β and swing them around, hindering their ability to move. This carnivore is stronger than a Carno or a Rex at night, but during the day, it is much more slow and sluggish.~Steel Cookie 123
Should be able to spawn outside of caves in mobile, like next to the green obelisk would be amazing, they could keep covered in mountain bush and it would be just amazing.

Note: the normal Megalosaurus does fall asleep on Aberration, while the aberrant one does not. I thought that the normal one wouldnβt fall asleep either, but then I tested that theory...
These guys are a must-have in Aberration; they are always awake (at least in the bioluminescent area), and thus always have their night buff. Of course, this also means you must always be wary of wild ones while in their territory.
The Grizzly bears of Ark on the island. These dinosaurs may be hard to find on moblie devices, on moblie this thing is only found sleeping in caves. Cave of the clever is the most frequent spawn of this guy. DO NOT TAME AT DARK: they are twice as fast and can murder mounts as fast as a arthropluera ( the giant centipede ) also be careful as while its sleeping, it may look like a rock, make sure not to jump on a β rock β with a few tufts of fur.
