What are tips for megalosaurus? Tips and strategies for megalosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
On Fjordur at 40 31 in the underwater aberrant cave a bunch of the aberrant megalo spawn easy to reach, once you have a rock drake. The amount that spawned for me was enough to start breeding in one go only other really dangerous thing spawning are aberrant megalania.
Elemental Vault Cave on Abberation is the best Spot to find them. They are overspawned inside of the Cave so even the low lvl on the Map wont effect much . I found about 15 150+ in 1 Hour (Max lvl 180 on my Server)
2 or three piece O meat for a low lvl and soothing balm.
On the island they spawn in caves
What you should do is kill all the things inside the cave with a direwolf or a sabertooth and grapple onto the ceiling. Then shoot one with tranqs. Make sure u do it during the day. Wait until it is like half hunger then feed it. 👍
How to tame the sleepy Boi on mobile.
1. Acquire soothing balm, either from a gift, caving, or the hunt: megapirhana (I forgot how to spell it.) pursuit.
2. Get yourself some prime
3. Go to the middle chamber during daytime. I recommend entering the cave early in the morning. You can adjust this to suit the level of megalosaurus that you’re taming.
4. Knock out the sleepy Boi you wish to tame, use balm, feed prime, and don’t die.
5. Enjoy your new sleepy Boi!
I recommend using 10 x soothing balm for this creature as if you do the tame time is 6 minutes for a low lvl
A must have tame if you're on abberation! These guys are always awake on abberation and are comparable to a rex in power and hp so you must tame these on your abberation save of the game
Certainly one of the most deadly carnivores on Scorched earth, grouping together into massive packs in caves killing whatever disturbs them whilst sleeping. Lives in caves to avoid harsh sunlight and massive t-rexes which could easily overpower them in day, maybe that’s why they’re weaker in day.
I dont know were to put this under so yea do not breed unless you have lots of food im imprinting one right now for me it will barely eat anything idk if it has to be night or what he seems to be eating the raw fish meat but really slowly
KO them at the beginning of daylight, right when they're supposed to sleep and starve them. They will wake up depending on level so be prepared to KO them again. Don't worry, they keep the amount starved unless you let them kill and eat something. But remember not to keep any materials on them until fully starved or those items will be lost when it wakes up. (It always wakes up at around 20:30). They're pretty fun at night, but trash during the day. Watch out for the "Sleep Bar" number if you're carrying it back to your base as you can't carry them when they're sleeping. Good luck out there, and be careful. They will destroy you and your tames. Distance is to be kept.
Just to add my input, megalosaurus is real easy to tame, may take a little while but oviraptor kibble really works. I literally waited days to finally go out to tame one but I crafted 10x the kibble jus in case and only took 3, so I first build at least 8-9 stone pillars in front of the Megalosaurus’s emntrance to keep it from attacking you and tranq it. *MAKE SURE DAY RESETS FO MORNING BEFORE ATTEMPTING TI TAME OR IT WILL WAKE UP AND GO FULL BROLY ON YOUR ARSE* ( up this so ppl actually have a good strategy plan)
Apparently they can spawn in the hunter cave because I encountered my first one there a few days ago when going to tame a dung beetle
For easy tame, use grappling hooks onto a ledge, stay grappled even after you find a good and high ledge so that you can reel down and back up when needed (Never crouch). its easy this way. Have fun
Don't fight in a cave I learned that the hard way
They can damage wooden structures even though the calculator says it can't. Be sure to use stone or a hill!
