Despite being a literal shark, they are pretty pathetic. You can shoot one with a crossbow, you can kill one one with an itchy, so that should say that the pancake is more deadly than the giant shark, which is pretty sad.

They seem tough if your new and are powerful when there’s a lot but alone their WEAK i watched a turtle kill one

On the south west side where the side island is and in the lake where megaladon are infested, they are tameable

People keep saying to use tranq darts but u cant use darts under water😡

"You need a crossbow if you want to tame one so dont try it until u got one" There are 2 ways to tame a megalodon :

1.If you found a good megalodon near the shore then you re pretty lucky cuz u just have to go under water attack it then go back on the shore , do that till the megalodon gets knocked out.

2. If u found a megalodon but it s not near the shore than you have 2 options trap it or use another mount like an ichtyosaurus cuz he doesnt attract watter creatures and you can equip a crossbow on him.

I found one in the water sorounding the red obelisk when I was a bo. I jumped into the water and was like wats dat? Then i swam just made it as well

Just ride out on your raft and jump in the water, then get back on the raft, because it cannot attack you on the raft. Rinse and repeat until it is knocked out.

Use a pelagornis iT really helped me out just tranq and then escape understatement I tamed a 129 in deep water with iT

Try to find one stuck in a rock in shallow water, with enough luck you should be able to knock it out with ease (i use fists)

Try getting the megalodon as close to the shore as possible to prevent drowning and getting chomped on by the megalodon's powerful jaw.

(FOR MOBILE PLAYERS ONLY) dont tame these guys!!! Their slow everything will aggro on you. Just get an icthy faster and nothing aggros on you

Can some one please help I want to tame one but when I shoot it when it’s out of the water it swims away like a big fat scaredy-cat. What is a tip that I can use to keep it on shore

Best way to hunt them is by getting a bow and a raft find one go up to it and have a hayday

This guys should have TLC 1k damage 15k health can bleed damage stack up to 5 and a new model . it will be awesome if they put rage mode that will boost their speed and damage and make them little bit rare. That is the real megalodon

Idea:Megalodons should have bleed and also deal more damage to basilosaurus (because megalodons eats whales)

How to tame Meg:

First get about 12 tranq arrows and place them in a cross bow

Mount icthy and find Meg

Get megs attention

When the Meg starts to chase you lure it into shallow water and start shooting it with your crossbow (you may have to dismount your icthy)

When the Meg is unconscious go as close to the Meg as possible and dismount your icthy and give the Meg about 30 meat

Wait about 5 mins and enjoy your new tame!
