The Megaloceros is a fast, skittish creature that can be immobilized with a bola or trap before being knocked out and tamed with berries or suitable kibble while maintaining its torpor. Once tamed, it serves as a versatile mount for scouting, travel, taming, and cave exploration, using its strong jumping ability to navigate rough terrain; males can fight and gather thatch, while females are faster but cannot attack or harvest. When encountered, approach carefully or use ranged weapons and containment to prevent it from fleeing, especially in snowy or Redwood areas where predators pose added danger.
