Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a megachelon? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a megachelon.
You can enter 3rd person and go under the turtle to feed it honey/meat.
I just want to point this out if you want a easy way to tame a mosa or megalodon or any big sea Dino you can just find a air poket get the Dino to follow you go on the pocket and place a behemoth gate behind it then BOOM it’s stuck
My bootleg way to tame it is to lead a microbe swarm to it then leave the area. depending on the swarms level you'll only need one to tame it, to check the level of the swarm use the button that brings up the hud for using orbital camera and thrird person HLNA will then show you. The best way I've found to bring the swarm to it without trouble is to eat a cactus broth. Once the turtle is tamed it'll show in your tribe log afterwards you just need to go back to its last known location and find it.
You CAN ko tame it. Shoot at the head or feet after building a trap.
When Taming if it walks up on land, throw honey into the water to lure it back in.
If you want to see the tame in a video search Sentraxion on YouTube.
Most of the taming tips are trash and fail attempts at being funny. My guide after taming 4 130 to 150s turtles as follows.
1. Kite parrot fish swarm to turtle
2. Stay far away from turtle and swarm but do not put them out of render
3. Only approach to intercept sharks approaching the turtle and return to distance after killing hostiles.
4. Wait for bar to fill.
5. GGEZ turtle fortress :)
You can actually take it by knocking it out with shock darts and feeding it honey just make sure to trap it so it doesn’t escape. You can also knock it out with an electric prod to the shell.
Can anyone say me if is still possible to feed the turtle? If yes, please up
Kite a Parakeet fish school to the giant turtle to tame. Too many people suggesting a microbe swarm, this is simply incorrect.
They need to fix the fish, the keep bugging out on lost island making them not follow
Agree with the tip regarding HUGE issues with the swarms and feeding. As of Fear Evolved 5, the swarms are incredibly bugged and IF you get one to a Megachelon to start the taming process, it only goes up a very short percentage before it’s gone. Myself and 2 other tribe mates spent 5 days off and on trying to tame a dark lavender shell turtle. But even with one watching the turtle and everyone else bringing swarms, it was simply impossible. I’m not sure why it’s so different from before. But don’t be discouraged if you’ve tried to tame recently and felt overwhelmed!
A good tip to kill them is to feed them a few parakeet fish from subnatica and then let all the megaledons and eals do all the work than kill all of them and harvest the body.
Hit it, trust me! It’s a instant tame if you hit it...a lot
You get about 11.5% per swarm and it takes some time. Good luck
The microbe swarms will stop agroing you while leading them. To fix this swim out of render of the swarm and then back in, repeat until swarm starts following or til you get it to the turtle
HLNA can see the school of fishs lvl higher they are the faster the taming
You don't have to be near the turtle to tame it or efficiëntie you can be in a different biom to tame it
Then also no creatures will attack it caus your not in render distance
You can Passive Tame it with meats by accessing the inventory under its schell. This has worked several times for me but may be a bug 👌
Just wait. Try getting the microbe swarm to the turtle. After that have it agro follow you to a 3x3 behemoth gateframe in shallow water and just wait. You have to protect it at all costs.
So at this point in time it's hitbox for the passive tame is located inside it's body. I had to ghost inside it to tame one
