Passive tame- Swim mid/deep ocean and look for a parakeet fish school and swim them to the megachelon, passive tame will start when school goes to megachelon. Will reset if hit.

To tame you need to lure a parakeet swarm to the turtle. You only need ONE swarm to tame these dudes… here’s what I gathered from experience:

1. If they get hit during taming progress resets to zero

2. The higher the level parakeet swarm (and the higher it’s health) the quicker it tames

3. While taming the swarm will have coles and salmon spawn behind it and attempt to eat the swarm, the more this happens the slower the tame will be (if eaten enough parakeet swarm disappears)

Their taming is like an annoying mini game, would recommend a baryonyx for fish that spawn and also to kill sharks that try to attack the turtle.

Tip: coles can’t catch up to the swarm, so if one spawns would suggest leaving it be as it seems only one fish will pursuit a swarm at a time

Another Tip: gen is the easiest map to tame, I did it naked. Most annoying part of this tame is luring the swarm to the turtle to start feeding, I found this buggy on a mount and oxygen, stam use and sped are all buffed underwater while swimming on this map.

Must bring it a school of parakeet fish aka microbe swarm, then protect the turtle from all threats as well as protecting the swarm from the salmon that will constantly spawn to eat it.

Megachelons and the swarms do not combat with eachother and just don’t work. The turtle is so much faster then the swarm and the swarms just deaggro on you every 3 seconds . I had a 150 turtle and once I got the swarm to the surface they just stopped aggroing and they wouldn’t attach to the turtle. I tried this with 3 different swarms and they all did the same thing

You can grab a swarm with a squid and bring it to the turtle. It'll be bugged out though, so you'll have to leave render and come back so you can draw aggro.

They make rare mushroom and rare flowers in there inventory

They can be brought on land. Putting them in cyropods removes any structures on them.

Him turtle… feed turtle…….build turtle.

Cannot tame out of render distance it was patched. Your best bet is to ask someone for a egg or breed the ones you have already

Track the mission hide and sink and there should be turtles

Lead a sea swarm near it and it will slowly be tamed. The saddle requires the things it drops when you kill them shell fragments

If you get your foundations perfect and experience the “this structure is too far away from the platform,” I’ve found you can angle your mega on a cliff or hill and force the piece closer to the platform and get it to green light!!

Parakeet fish will not lock onto you if there is feces nearby, pickup all the feces that your tame drops

U can find them on lost island by green obs desert

Bring the schools of fish to them by grabbing the fist with a tuso wait a few seconds and then lead the rest of the way just swimming with flippers

This dude can be used as a mobile base, or green house, and as a added bonus they will grow herbs and plants!

Breeding in water in Asgard on Fjordur will eliminate the depths you need to breed at.

Eels shocking these behemoths makes them feel very underwhelming.

Bring good armor and a healthy tame, the fish can dish out alot of damage and standing next to one for only a second could mean death, the fish have a low aggro radius so leading them can be tedious. Once you have successfully made the fish follow the turtle (the fish will stick very close to the turtles butt) have one person on foot follow the turtle around and another on a bary farther away to kill sharks. Side note all turtles tame at the same rate regardless of the lvl from what I've seen.
