Tips & Strategies

What are tips for megachelon? Tips and strategies for megachelon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Bring good armor and a healthy tame, the fish can dish out alot of damage and standing next to one for only a second could mean death, the fish have a low aggro radius so leading them can be tedious. Once you have successfully made the fish follow the turtle (the fish will stick very close to the turtles butt) have one person on foot follow the turtle around and another on a bary farther away to kill sharks. Side note all turtles tame at the same rate regardless of the lvl from what I've seen.
These things eat more than gigas when raising them. Be prepared to feed them A LOT. They are omnivores but I recommend not raising other tames at the same time unless you have a lot of troughs. I raised four at once and they emptied 8 tek troughs on official rates overnight in about 7 hours.
They will lose taming progress if not swimming in water.
Currently unable to tame. Parakeet schools become inert after 2 mins of aggro
The parakeet fish are drawn to poop in the water. Could potentially be used to kite them easier towards turtles.
While they have a lot of health they are stupidly usless to fight back attackers, needless to say overrun them; Specially in water where every 10 feet theres 3 f*cking eels, 5 sharks and 2 mantas comming atcha.
Avoid running into fights as much as you can or always have a couple badass tames or tribemates following you to clean up attackers, otherwise you will be struggling for your tame's life as well as everything you brought with it.
If you don’t have Genesis DLC use the command Summon giantturtle_character_bp_c and forcetame That’s how I made a swimming house
When doing my first mega tame, I was using a megalodon and when the swarm of fish caught up with me,(I had to drag them slowly from faraway,) they hit me and my megalodon ATE them! I hate taming megachelons!
5 hour incubation timer, at the bottom of the scar in the ocean. Eats berrys.
Passive tame, the most efficient way to tame it is using a microbe swarm a group of agressive fish, once you lure it to the "Meg" it will start to swim around the 'meg' starting the slow taming process
use a bloodstalker to protect the parakeet whilst taming easy crowd control
Few tips for this GOD errrr turtle
Do not cryopod will loose everything
When submerging he will give you a oxygen bubble around you and your base
You can build on his back without a saddle but if you have already built on his back and then equip a saddle you will LOOSE EVERYTHING
Do not recommend for land travel (obviously)
Good for a water base
- tribe of the jerboa
You can trap it if it gets close enough to shore
You need to get a swarm of fishes under the turtle, but more creature's that will try to attack the fishes, if they are attacked, you have to start over.
You can tell how close it is to taming by the amount of barnicales are left, the less there are, the closer it is to being tamed
