Ultimus: Chapter Fourteen: Reuben
Andrew walked quietly through the rows and rows of stacked crates. In some cases, these stacks were taller than he was. Andrew didn’t like how quiet it was, his heart was beating in his head with the adrenaline and fear. A raptor came around the corner in front of Andrew and Andrew jumped, losing a slight grip on his rifle. The looked at him and snarled, it then charged at Andrew. Andrew aimed his rifle and pulled the trigger, only to hear a fear-filling click. He looked down at his gun and pressed it again to hear the same thing. Andrew looked back up and saw the raptor only a few feet away.
“Oh, crap...” Andrew said to himself and threw his rifle at the creature and jumped out of the way as the raptor did a blind lunge at him, missing him entirely and falling on its side.
Andrew panicked and quickly looked around for a hiding space, he found a crevice in between several crates that was large enough for Andrew to go into. Andrew quickly slid in there but tripped on his own foot in panic. He stumbled and hit his head against a crate, and fell onto his hands and knees. Andrew crawled to the very back of the crevice which was not very deep as he found out. He turned his back to the crates to see where the raptor was.
As he did this, he saw the raptor peer in the crevice, it stared at him with soul-piercing eyes. It soon began trying to make its way into the crevice with its head, neck, and arms fitting inside, but its body was too large for it to fit through. It snapped at Andrew, its face only a more determined snap away from Andrew’s feet and legs. Andrew could only hear the raptor snapping. Andrew tried to scoot further back, but he was already against the back of the crevice. He tried pulling the shotgun off of his back, but he was panicking and wasn’t able to get it off his back unless he scooted forward. But he didn’t want to dare a chance.
The raptor backed out and prepared for another jump towards Andrew. He closed his eyes, afraid this was the end for him. But he heard a bark and a screech. He opened his eyes to see something surprising.
Reuben gripped the raptor with his teeth by the raptor’s throat. The raptor’s calls were getting more shrill. Reuben's jaws snapped shut around the raptor's throat, with blood dripping around Reuben’s mouth. The raptor panicked even more knowing what was going to happen. It tried rolling to get Reuben off, bashing Reuben against crates, but Reuben didn’t budge. It didn’t take long after that for the raptor’s life to leave its eyes and drop down and have no more movement.
Once he knew it was gone, Reuben let go of the throat and looked over to Andrew. His tail wagged so hard and his eyes were wide with joy. Andrew was surprised to see Reuben outside of the crate. He must’ve pushed the lid off of it to come help him. Andrew didn’t care though, he was so happy to see him. He smiled and tears of joy ran down his face. Andrew scooted forward, taking his shotgun off his shoulder and getting up to his knees. He looked up at Reuben who was still looking at Andrew with his tail still wagging.
“Come here, boy!!” Andrew whispered with frail joy, Reuben took a step but then stopped for some reason. He quickly looked to his side before getting kicked by a powerful and deadly leg, Reuben’s yipe as it happened made it all the much worse. Andrew's tears went from joy to pain as he watched in horror as a raptor emerged into his view. Its eyes glowed with an unnatural magenta. It walked out of view as quickly as it walked in view. It stopped though, only leaving part of its tail in Andrew’s view. Andrew was frozen in place, he wasn’t able to believe what happened, it just couldn’t have happened. For a moment he just tried denying to himself in fear and shock. His mind wouldn’t let him move, his mind held him captive. He heard Reuben yipe a second time and freed him from his fear and denial. And it sent him into pure rage.
One day some random lost carbonemys was walking around an ocean biome terrarium and suddenly noticed a strange plant covered in glowing purplish veins and black marks, it was hungry, so the carbonemys ate the plant
The next day it felt very strange, it also noticed that everything seemed to have shrunk, it wandered around and fell down a hole and found itself in the sea, it saw a school of pretty glowing fish and decided to eat them, that made it dizzy and it started to see rainbow lights, then it started seeing double and it's shell started to bubble, and it sprouted an extra set of legs, it had became the world's first megachelon,

Chapter seventeen: Maybe
“Are you, are you coming to the tree where they strung up a man they say murdered three? Strange things did happen here no stranger would it be if we met up at midnight in the hanging tree. Are you, are you coming to the tree where the dead man called out for his love to flee?”
A sword pierced through a peacekeepers chest. Straight through the heart. The dead peacekeeper fell to the floor. A shadowy figure removed his sword from the dead peacekeeper’s chest. He studied the blood on the sword. The blood was crimson red and dripped slowly and steadily from his sword. This one has been fun to kill. A ludicrous grin filled his face. The guiltier were more fun. They always denied it, saying that it was a mistake or that they had repented. The figure scoffed. Like anyone believed that. He slid his sword into it’s place by his side, bloody or not. He kicked the dead body gingerly. Dead. Good, now that this one was dead he had only one more peacekeeper to kill. A woman named Zooey Young. One of the most vilest, most evil peacekeepers and now….she would die. She was definitely guilty. Guilty, guilty, guilty. But he would kill her and stop her evilness. Maybe then, all would be right with the world. Maybe there would be less evil. Maybe. Just maybe.
This chapter was short but necessary.

The Obelisk
-Chapter 74-
There was a splash as Forest tossed water over his face. The trickling of water from a large stalactite plopped into the small puddle. Forest lowered himself closer to take a quick drink.
Rust sat by him, preening his feathers roughly.
“You good?” Forest asked him. Rust had been rather quiet since they arrived.
“Perfect,” Rust mumbled, not looking up from his work.
“Ok,” Forest said.
“I don’t know, you don’t sound ‘perfect’, Rust.” Crimson said, walking into the cave. She threw several fish onto the floor. “Oh, and Nyx, guess you were right about the food. lots of fish here.”
“Crimson!” Nyx said, surprised. “How long have you been awake?”
Crimson blinked, right before tilting her head with a shrug and saying, “not long.” She nudged one of the fish. “Just go up early to do some hunting, that’s all. It’s not like any of you would have done it.” She made a wry smile a she said it, a very rare thing to see Crimson do.
“Hope you all slept good,” a voice echoed from outside of the cave. Moonbeam poked her head inside, glancing at each of the Five one by one. “Training’s soon.”
“When are we starting?” Spark asked.
“Not long from now,” Moonbeam said. “Eat, drink, get ready. And then meet me at the Central Cavern.”
She pulled her head back out of sight. A second later Rust whispered, “Does she not know I have no idea where that is?”
“She knows,” Moonbeam called, making Rust yelp. She peeked back into the cave. “She just wants you to try and find it yourselves. Try not to get lost.” And she disappeared once more.
“Gosh, I like her,” Rust said.
After they were all awake and ready, the Five went to the Central Cavern, the large cave where they had first met Orbit. Moonbeam was waiting for them, looking slightly bored. She faked a yawn as they arrived. “Finally,” She said. “Did you take a few more naps before you left?”
Nyx scoffed loudly and flicked her with her tail, and Moonbeam laughed. “I’m kidding,” she said. “You came rather quickly. Follow me, and we will begin the first part of your training.”
She led them to the largest den in the Cavern, a huge opening covered in hanging moss. Moonbeam ducked her head under and entered. The others followed.
Inside, skyholes filled with plants and hanging vines let rays of gold light in, glistening over several gemstones and relics throughout the den. A pale teal and gray Shadowmane entered from another room, looking tired.
“Cyan,” Moonbeam greeted the Shadowmane, inclining her head to the ground. “I have brought the Five here to train with you.”
“Oh, good,” sighed the elder. “This will be fun. Who would like to go first?”
“Wait, What are we doing?” Forest asked.
“All Shadowmane juveniles in the camp undergo this training with Cyan before they reach adulthood.” Moonbeam said. “it is a test.”
“You will go one at a time,” said Cyan in her creaking voice. “So lets do this quickly. Who will go first?”
“I will.” Forest said.
“the Rock Drake,” Exclaimed the elder. “Very surprising. Come close, young one.”
Forest cautiously padded over to her. “You are a brave soul,” she said to him.
“No, I’m a coward.” Forest said.
“We’ll see about that.” She whispered. “Now. What I am about to do will be very strange. But when I do, just remember, none of its real.”
Forest swallowed the lump in his throat, wondering if he’d really thought this through.
Then Cyan stepped forward, closing her eyes and touching her nose to Forests’.
Forcing down any panic he could find, Forest took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

Chapter 53: Deja Vu
Part 3/3
Star looked at Samuel a bit, and nodded along. Star seemed to be telling him something. And even though Samuel wasn’t too sure what, he had a brief idea.
“I guess we can be friends.”
Neddy pumped his fist in the air briefly, calling out into the forests.
“Ha ha ha ha, I knew I could get to you! Woo hooooo I did it! YEAH!”
Samuel could feel a smile grow on his face involuntarily, as the screech of a bird echoed off in the distance. The distant cries were drowned out by the chatter of his allies, no, maybe not allies…
Friends.
“Are we really friends though?” Samuel asked himself in thought, “Probably not. I don’t intend to be. But, anything to make sure they comply, right?”
“Right.”
But even so, Samuel was beginning to doubt himself. Doubt himself, and his ways.
Did he truly have to be this way to escape? Or was he doing it out of plain cruelty?

Chapter 53: Deja Vu
Part 1/3
Giant, tall sequoia trees loomed above Samuel, Aurora, Neddy, Ruby, and Star along with their mounts as they traveled into the Redwood Forests. After careful consideration by the team, they had decided to explore this mystical lands in search of Tiffany and her book.
The ground had no grass whatsoever, and the dirt was a crimson red. There was a waft of sodden wood in the air, and Samuel could spot many creatures in the area. There were weird cat-like things staying idle on the trees, and Raptors roamed the area, chasing down the many dinosaurs that inhabited the Redwood Forests. There was a small mountain up ahead that looked like it would have been fun to hike.
“So this is the Redwoods, huh?” Aurora said, looking up at the sky. Something seemed to be sparkling in her eyes.
“It’s pretty nice, but there’s lots of dangerous things here,” Ruby noticed, spotting the Raptors. She took her crossbow out, just in case. Neddy scratched the back of his head.
“Don’t sweat it Ruby. We have three very strong beasts on our side,” Neddy said, pointing at their tames. Blueblaze, Goofy, and their newly tamed Baryonyx, Fish Eater.
Star clucked her beak in frustration, and Neddy gulped.
“Uhh, FOUR, strong beasts.”
Star grinned, and Samuel took a quick glance at her. He put a hand in his graduation robe pocket and rubbed the note that Star had given him gingerly.
“Who are you, Star? What are you trying to ask me?”
Samuel spoke up to take his mind off the matter.
“Ruby is right though. We should all be on guard, we may run into a throat we can’t stand off against unprepared. So I suggest we all take our weapons out.”
Aurora nodded.
“Totally agree. So, weapons out!” Aurora ordered, grabbing her spear and twirling it in her hands. Neddy gulped and took out his own spear. Samuel clenched his fists tight. He brought his spear out and rested it on his shoulder.
“Let’s move forward and clear out the area as fast as possible. This place is dangerous.”
The two continued to travel through the Redwood Forests. Luckily with Aurora’s implant attribute, getting lost wouldn’t be possible. Samuel was glad to have made her an ally. But at the same time, Samuel kept on getting reminded of that night where Aurora had tried making a move on him.
“Those two must be in love or something,” Aurora had whispered as she took note of Neddy and Ruby’s romance, “They’ve been chatting away ever since… we ran away. I was just thinking… We could be the same?”
She scurried her sleeping bag closer to Samuel, but he jolted away.
“How dare you,” Samuel had snarled.
Aurora frowned, sighed, and then turned away. Samuel fell asleep then.
Was that how it went?
Samuel couldn’t remember, but he couldn’t fathom the idea of ever getting romantical with someone as flawed as Aurora.
“That’s unbelievable. I sure do hope she puts her feelings away or else this will just make things more difficult than they have to be,” Samuel thought.
A weird buzzing noise began to fill the air, and Neddy looked up to see a giant beehive nestled in one of the sequoia trees. Even though the bees were not outside of their nest, they could still hear them from down below. Neddy paused for a moment, forcing everyone to stop.
“Hey, look, a beehive,” Neddy said, pointing at the hive. Everyone looked at it earnestly, “Mmm, y’know I’ve always loved honey. Hey Ruby, wouldn’t it be cool to snatch some honey for a recipe?
Ruby licked her lips in agreement.
“Yeah, totally! I LOVE honey!”
“Hmm, I wonder how we’d get that honey though.”
“Yeah. It’s a bit high up. Maybe we can ask Bobby to build a staircase there.”
“PSHH HAHAHAHA! No way you’re serious about that!”
“I’m being for real! I bet he’d be willing to.”
“I know he’d be willing to but would he even be able to?”
“Of course, he’s a builder, why wouldn’t he be?”
But unbeknownst to the two scholars, the sounds of footsteps pounding on the soft dirt was starting to also fill the air. And Samuel and Aurora seemed to be the only ones to notice. Samuel turned around and he turned white as he saw a flock of five Terror Birds making their way toward them. They were running at full speed, and seemed eager to kill.
Neddy sensed the unease and turned around, and he began to scream frantically.
“UH OH WE’VE GOT COMPANY.”
“Please shut up,” Aurora kindly requested in a not-so kind tone.
Locked and Loaded- Chapter 4
Surge was troubled. The survivor army could show up at any moment, and they weren’t ready to fight back.
“TARGET SPOTTED. GOING IN FOR THE ATTACK.” A voice said. A human on a Tuso struck Surge, and he was knocked out.
“Surge! SURGE!” Tentacle only found a thin trail of blood that didn’t lead anywhere.
“Surge is gone!” Tentacle burst into the factility. She swam into a water tank, and carbonemys janitors pushed her down to the cell where Jana was.
“Did you do it?” She growled at the human.
“Relax, Tentacle.” Grey calmed her down. “She’s not to blame.”
“HUMANS!” A shrill, far away voice panicked. “THEYRE COMING!”
A massive fleet of Megachelons in the back. Tusos, Mosas, basilosaurus, megs up front. The human army had arrived.
—————————
Sanguis was shocked to find himself on an island high above an ocean. He’d heard of this place, but he’d never been outside the bog.
A battle raged down in the depths. Blood kept rising to the surface. Delicious blood...
—————————
“We can’t hold them off!” Tentacle roared. “Fight till the end!”
The humans retreated.
“What’s happening?!” An X-Dunkleo yelped.
Swarms of eels rose from the deep to annihilate the human army. They didn’t stand a chance against the massive shockwaves that rippled through the deep. Blood spread throughout the water.
And then it stopped, and the war was seemingly won.
Tales of the Dodo Legion
The war begins.
I was thinking of starting from the beginning, of the raids and the Theris and how hard it was to get on our feet, but I wanted to start at the exciting part. We are the Dodo Legion. The fanfictioner tribe on the mobile server Leech. We had lost many tames, notably an allo named Mean Kidd, but we had plenty of tames left. We were allied with the Tribe of Deino on Herbivore island. But disaster struck.
The tribe logs said that one of us killed the Deino’s bronto. We didn’t. I had logged off after being killed by allos in the north, and when I got onto the discord, DTG told me what happened.
The Deinos had broken the alliance. They were now our enemies. Unfortunately, our new saber and allo had been killed by kapros and sarcos on the way back to our base, but we had to raid them. They were enemies now, on our turf.
DTG led a solo raid with our bronto, House Removal. Their base was destroyed, their tames killed. House Removal was sadly killed during the battle, but we drove our enemies off the island, taking their items. But it wasn’t over. Shortly after, they attacked and wiped Lamprey’s base near Far’s Peak, which we had been using as an outpost. They killed our new galli, and me, while I was offline there. The war has begun, and we are planning our next strike!
