Go to a place with a lot of bushes, give the mantis your sickle and go to town on the bushes and boom, fiber town

They lay incredibly few eggs, but the amount goes up if they're in an area marked as Unknown Region on the map.

A raptor can easily kill these guys (a high leveled one of course). I'd always take my level 220 raptor to the desert and let her just go on a hunting spree and do her thing by killing these guys. I'd then leave with 300+ chitin and polymer. My raptor only lost 400 out of 1300 health after going back to back killing 3 level 80s in a row.

If you kill one of these guys, harvest with a moschops and you’ll have a bunch of organic polymer. Doesn’t give quite as much as a karkinos, but easier to kill and a bit more common on Gen 2
