Here's a suggestion, don't go near the water if there are more than 3 or these b*tches especially if you are just starting out trust me on this they are aggressive as hell

When I was still a noob and didn’t know anything I saw 3 mantas, I didn’t know if they were aggressive so I went to check if they were at first for some unknown reason it didn’t attack me they just acted like ichthyosauruses so I thought they were passive but then when I tamed a low level ichthyosaurus the mantas started killing my ichthyosaurus I was like WHAT I THOUGHT U GUYS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE PASSIVE then it killed my ichthyosaurus, i went to check again but this time they killed me R.I.P me and my ichthyosaurus

Tip: DONT BE STUPID LIKE ME

Bug spray work while swimming near them to tame.

These guys often commit suicide by sliding up onto the beach, which can be an easy source of fish meat in the super early levels.

Kill all the other mantas before taming cause they will kill your new recruit….

Trust me I found out the hard way….

If you tame and go in the water on everything try’s to kill it.

PASSIVE!? THAT WORD IS MORE UNTRUE THAN WHEN MY BROTHER SAID THERE WAS NO MORE ICECREAM LEFT!!,

They stalk you if you have an Itchy. They follow you into the shallows then attack. Annoying things. Kill them from range. They are hostile.

Passive tame? Nah this dude is a killer pancake,

How I tamed a manta was that I got 5 angler gel from daily gift and got soothing balm took my itchy and found a level 3 manta fed it put soothing balm on it and still have 3 left over wach out the other manta's can kill your manta if your not careful up for others to see 🙂

I found that in shallow water a giga is perfect for killing swarms of these guys but don’t go in to deep water gigas are terrible swimmers and will drown easily

Get a basilosaurus and get the manta you want to tame, agro it to the balsilo and you will be able to tame the manta since its attacking the basilo instead of you. (The basilos food will drain quickly so get it some food)

This is not passive it is aggressive it will act friendly for a while

A method I found involves spinning in circles with it where it can't hit you and occasionally take sharper turns to feed, wear scuba!

Ok so basicly use a sarco or icthy to lure it to shore then feed it angler gel grill it’s tamed

It takes a loong to eat the second time, be patient

I was swimming back to base on my sarco and when I get back to base I turn it off I come back to find my sarco missing but not dead me 17 days later: let’s explore the ocean on our Meg next thing I see is a sarco swimming in the ocean killing mantas fortunately I brought sarco back to base and tail stunned them with my baryonyx

I had to spend about an hour trying to get angler gel
