What are tips for manta? Tips and strategies for manta in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Use a water taming raft and trap it in a corner with stone door frames and tame. Make sure you have a bed on the raft
Disregard my previous comment, they still get angry even when fed AnglerGel, it just didn’t look like it to me because the previously tamed manta was stuck in it’s spot.
Guys!!! Need angler gel just kill achatinas (snail 🐌) and then hit the body with a sword and there angler gel.
This swimming pancake doesn't like people who want to tame ichty's. Just wanted to warn ya.
Incredibly fast mount. If it touches land it will die in less than 1 second. Very very low hp. Tame it naked. It ignores armor so save your mats. Build a trap, pin it down with as many pillars as you can. Place a stone hatch on top of him. Expect to die. A lot. Like, a whole, whole lot.
exploring the coast with an Ichthyosaurus and a lv 47 basilosaurus.
ganged up on by 5+ mantas.
the basilosaurus got stuck and died in seconds.
the ichthyosaurus died too.
my ascendant chitin armor set broke with just a few hits, and I died.
this thing is truly a nightmare.
Can't believe my luck, I was flying over Highlands Bay, on Ragnorrock, looking for Mantas to tame. When I saw a Basilasaurus in the Bay. Several Mantas were swimming along with it. I pulled out my spyglass and and found a male and female, 140 & 145, were swimming in the group. So I chomped some bug spray, put my tank on and jumped in. suprisingly, there were not only the male and female I had previously spotted. But, three additional females all above 135, and to add the icing on the cake, the Basilasaurus was also a 135. Some days you can't take two steps without being devoured by a Rex, respawn, only to be devoured by the very same Rex. And then you get days like this, where they fall into your lap. So my tip is to stay vigilante and keep your eyes peeled for those happy surprises. Oh! and don't sweat the large dino that eats you four consecutive times. Happy Arking!!!😁
Lure it to the surface with a turtle then stand on the back of the turtle and feed it make sure the turtle is on passive
Careful... they may look delicious in all but powerful...pancakes or waffles... Iost my megaladon to a pack of 8 of these which took 4 1/2 hours to tame...
It’s attacks are able to quickly shred through your armour, I have a theory that the manta may share coding with the Arthropleurea since they both can destroy armour and they both react to bug repellent similarly
Warning these things are normally pretty hungry after you tame it and will starve if you put angler gel in their inventory as they eat normal fish meat afterwards
Ive found they are much easier to tame when they busy following a basilo around XD
How to tame
1 tame a dilocauls
2 fine and kill a angler fish
3 then get 1-2 bug repellent
4 then tame
No scuba needed
Surprisingly in mobile ark, if you attack achatinas with raptors, as I have learned from my own experience, you can get angler gel. I have never gone past the shallows in the ocean, yet I have multiple stacks of angler jell. Hope y’all can find this helpful. Don’t know if it works on other versions of ark though.
I’ve found the best way to deal with these guys is using a Pelegornis in shallow water. You’re able to hop off the water, fly, and still follow the manta around. It’s easy to hop back on the bird if you land in the water so it makes it easy for a quick feed and then retreat.
a horde of mantas killed one and only male spino of mine and a trex...annoying af...
